Since he failed his newborn hearing screen at 2 days old, we have been searching for the right solution for his atypical hearing loss, and this is what we have finally settled on (nearly 3.5 years later!) He is wearing it with no issues (at least none in the first two hours, then I had to go back to work) and it seems like it's just the thing that he needs. We have a 45 day trial period, but from all the research I did on it, I don't think we'll be returning it
Now we have to wait and see if insurance does indeed pay for it. They refused to give a predetermination of benefits, but the billing code appears to fall under hearing aids and accessories, which is covered 100% up to $3000, so here's hoping that it really is covered!
