Wow, our club is growing fast! Welcome! It sounds like we've got an awsome mix of long-time experienced runners and those new to the sport. I'm so pleased this is working out. Let's hope that we're all still here a long time in the future.
I also have had some problems getting myself motivated.
I have organized my life so that my commute to work involves a 15 minute bike ride. I get 2.5 hours of exercise per week just from that. I this is what got me from +40 pounds over my prepreg weight to my current weight of ~ +5 pounds (I don't own a scale). Well, that and my DD who doesn't like to eat solids.
However, I can still deform my tummy to my 9 mo pregnant size. I discovered that while sitting in the tub a few months ago. That just had to be dealt with! I resumed running on weekends (as I'd done from May-November of last year), but hesitated going in the evenings because I worried about my daughter falling asleep in the jogging stroller, then being up until midnight. Well, I tried it and two things happened:
DD doesn't fall asleep, but gets a very mellow 40 minutes to watch all the doggies that are out.
DD has a much better evening because of her mellow time. She's happier, sits better for supper, and doesn't seem as frustrated with her toys in the hour between supper and bedtime.
An easier evening is just icing on top of the fact that as of today.....
I'm using a new hole in my belt! A hole that hasn't been used since 2001!
Woohoo!
