Opinions on toilet seat with small potty seat built in?

We need a new toilet seat and the home improvement stores have regular size seats that have the toddler seat built in a well, so you can flip it up or down. Not sure if you can remove it once they are old enough to not need it. I will have to look at it further.

Has anyone used one and did you like it?

my son is 18 months and will ONLY use the potty seat on the toilets. the flip up ones were too big (the hole) for him to feel secure so we bought a couple potties at ross that can sit on top of the toilet. good luck.

We don't have them, but have spent lots of time at people's houses who do.

One friend had one that didn't stay up on it's own very well (for adult use) so that was kind of a pain.

Other friend has ones that do and I'll say that it's certainly more sanitary than putting the toddler seat on the floor or counter while an adult wants to use the toilet.

My sister has one at her house and bought one for my Grandmother's house who takes care of my nephew. She likes them and I like them as well!

I have a cheap one from target that sucks (potty seat portion doesn't stay up) and we have a really nice one at ds's preschool (the potty seat portion fits into an indention in the adult lid) I love the one at school and may get the same one for home.
