Who knew POAS would be so hard?

GAH! Maybe I'm just not timing it right or something...I'm charting temps (on my 3rd cycle charting) and have gotten a definite thermal shift on days 23-24 (long cyles. yay.) Haven't yet had one single positive OPK- only faint lines around O time. Am I not ovulating or are the tests just not valid for me for some reason?

what time of day are you taking them? OPKs don't work for everyone because you can definitley miss the LH surge (ie/ if you are POAS in the morning and you get your surge in the afternoon and it is gone by next morning, you could def keep getting neg OPKs but still O) So i would trust temps over the OPKs. If you get the cheapies, try peeing on one twice a day and see if that works?
Good luck!

Thanks. I've been doing them in the afternoon and evening. Good to know that temps trump tests.

maybe try the morning and late afternoon instead then?

I test 2 times a day - morning and afternoon. If it looks like my tests are getting darker, sometimes I test 1 more time in the evening just to see if I get a +. I tend to have a short surge and it's easy for me to miss it if I don't test frequently. Thank goodness for cheap OPKs!
