Target $1 Spot Deals - Homeschool

We hit our local Target yesterday and were blown away with all the school items in the $1 spot at the front. Last year, they had about an aisle worth of teaching supplies, and this year, almost the ENTIRE section was all school related.
I found desktop pocket charts, folding crates, tons of dry erase boards/materials, workbooks, flash cards, name-tags, math manipulative's and SO much more!
I know the school stuff tends to go fairly fast, so if you haven't made a trip to Target, it's definitely worth it sometime soon

Oh, I forgot to mention...SOME of the stuff is actually $2.50 this year instead of just $1, but the deals are still too good to pass up if you are in need of some of what they have! The pocket charts are one of the $2.50 items if I remember correctly

I was just coming here to post about this I bought a few sets of flash cards- animals, insects, dinosaurs. I thought the kids could classify them. The US animal cards are perfect because our little local zoo has many of the animals. I think I'll sort through and pull out the ones the zoo has, and we'll take them with us one of these days. We also found a few books in the dollar section- insects, polar region animals, and big cats. There was a lot more than usual, I thought.

Yep, we check target every time we are there for new "school" stuff! Also- the Dollar Tree has a whole aisle of school supplies- sight words and flash cards, ton's of coloring books/work books. Some resources are great to have espically since it's only for a dollar or less than two fifty!

We live out in the boonies, but have a really super nice Super Wal-Mart near here. ( I know. I'm shocked.) I'm so all about back to school sales. 15 cent folders! $.25 crayolas! Markers!

I buy so much and then use them throughout the year...we are just getting to the end of last year's marker supplies.

I think it's time for a trip to the Dollar Spot at Target

I finally made it in to our Target! They did have a lot of great stuff. I got some of the flash cards, math manipulatives, markers, colored pencils, crayons, and glue. My son can't wait to use all his new stuff.

I'm glad I saw this thread before our Target sold out of everything.

I went yesterday. Didn't see the pocket charts, but did get a bunch of great stuff. More crayons, some markets, a pencil box for HS co-op Dr. Seuss bags, a clock manipulative, math manipulatives, arts and craft supplies, etc. Thanks Gabby for the info!

I was looking at this on Friday but was in a hurry and figured I would wait until ds got his bday gifts and money I am glad I did because he got couple items for his bday. I will use about 10 dollars of his money and get some of the science workbooks and flashcards and a few other goodies next time I go. I see they have solar system workbook I will probably get and that clock manipulative.

Today I found a perpetual calendar, made of wood in the $1 spot section, it was $2.50 though. You switch the month, day of the week, and the date. Really cute for $2.50. I also found Teacher's Plan weekly books for $1 each.

i think the highlight of my 1$ spot find was the time bingo, i liked that. I also got a weather wheel, and the teachers manual, along with the other items i was planning on getting.
