Is she weaning?

I know she will not be weaning anytime soon, but I was just curious if this is normal? My DD is 19 months and has just recently really cut down on her nursing frequency. She went from nursing every 2-4hrs to only nursing at nap, bedtime, wake up and once in the night. Sometimes she adds an extra session at night and skips the morning nurse, and occasionally she nurses in the evening.
I guess my question is: will she continue to decrease nursing sessions at this rate, or will we continue at 4-5 times a day for the next couple years? I know every child is different, but is this pretty typical for children who nurse until they are 3 or 4 years old or, is this a sign she will wean around 2?
Sorry if this is a really confusing post, I guess I'm hoping this is a sign she will wean around 2 on her own, because I think I will be ready to be done then, but I also don't want to push her to stop before she is ready.

My DS2 and I have had a lot of ups and downs in his interest in nursing. There's been points since he was 18 months old where I thought, ok, this must be coming to an end. And sometimes it felt like it might be 'right,' and other times it didn't.
But here we are. He's 3 1/2, and he's still nursing occasionally.

If you don't feel like it's time to be done, you might start offering to nurse more often. For me, nursing has been very difficult, so I haven't done this since the time he turned 2. I knew I wanted him to nurse to 2 if I possibly could get us there, but after that, I didn't make any effort to keep him going. Yet, he did.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I have mixed feelings about whether I want to do CLW or MLW. I know I want to go until 2 years as well, but I'm not sure what will happen after that.

For those of you who did CLW, and your child has already weaned, what made you choose that route, and are you happy with your decision/would you do it the same way if you could do it over?
