fave covers over prefolds/fitteds?

Thread Starter
hi there! baby's not due til january but i've managed to find some cloth diapers to borrow i don't have them quite yet (they're at my sister's in another city) but from what i understand, there are quite a few fitted diapers and some prefolds. she does say they need new covers though, and i'm wondering what you recommend?

cost is definitely an issue but i do want something that'll work.

also, i like the idea of wool covers but i have no idea where to get them (and i can't knit well enough to make some myself).

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you buy the EconoBum package you get a bunch of prefold diapers and 3 covers for a fair price. They're the kind that you can change the size and work really well.

I've also used Thirsties covers. They have the "pick your size" and "grow with me" kinds...the big thing that I liked was the bright colors. (The EconoBum ones are plain white)

I'm a fan of Thirsties covers. I've never tried that many other covers, nor have I tried wool, primarily because I have been so happy with Thirsties I haven't bothered to look

I also love Thirsties covers. Duo wraps are nice because you can adjust the size more but they run small in size 1.
Honestly, I love the regular Thirsties, great colors and no leaks at all. I've tried other ones only because people gave me a couple different kinds but nothing worked as well as Thirsties except my wool Imse Vimse which I splurged on
