Okay so lots of us are stressed out. Ultrasounds, spouses, inlaws, kids, ect. I figure we need a thread for all the pregnant women to cheer us up.

This is what made me smile today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiPxXU02xOQ

Its called She Gotta Bump and its a funny rap about how this guy is attracted to pregnant women.

Thank you for that!

I'm smiling, privately though, because my 9yo ds is coming home tomorrow after a month with my family 3000 miles away.

I wont explain why but today is the first day in a very long time I really NEED a thread like this so thank you.

The only thing to make me smile so far today is that I got to calm my mom down about being worried because my brother said something about being a sharpshooter, by explaining to her that is just the marksmanship badge that he is going to earn, and actually a GOOD thing.

I have tomatos ripening in the garden! Finally! That made me smile.

oh! I got one!

I was on the bus on Friday
and the bus driver looked JUST like Elrond form Lord of the Rings
and later on the bus ride this lady came on the bus with the one ring writing tattoo on her ankle. It made me smile. <-- like that

bus driver also had a nice voice and told me to have a nice day when I got off.
very soft and deep kind of voice

OH he also had a pony tail 2/3rd the way down his back and was on the tall lean end too, just like elrond...with the lean/long face...the lip thing and the nose! It was crazy, so hard not to ask why he didn't push that guy off the volcano..... *giggles*
it was like a clone!

I could use this thread today too. Thanks for sharing that funny bump song.

Something that made me smile today was buying a couple of cheap colourful kites, assembling them, and watching my two dd's running around the field at the park with them. It was so precious.

Thanks for this thread.

i posted it on my fb and twitter too, for all my non-mdc mommies...

I showed DH that video. His first response (bless his heart) was -

’Thats a pregnancy suit right? There's no way she would be in heels and up and down like that if she were really 38 weeks along...’

Hehe, that's funny.

I can't share the photo because its not mine but a friend of mine just changed her profile picture on FB to her 1 year old son sitting on a duck statue like he's trying to ride it.

Bumping. Baby was very active this morning. I couldn't figure out how to describe it to DH at first but figured it was like having a 'dance party' in my belly (and the fruit of the week for size is... the banana!!).

Dropped my 3 year old ds off at class and as soon as he got inside he said "bye mommy, oh hiiii it's nice to see you again!" to his teacher. I don't know why, but it just makes me crack a smile whenever he says that.

We've been trying to nightwean 19 mo old DD (mostly a process that does NOT produce smiles!), and though she did have a bad spell during the night where she cried and cried, she's been waking up in better and better moods as the process continues.

Because we're at the stage now where when she wakes we're just supposed to rub her back and talk to her but NOT pick her up and not feed her, there's a lot of back rubbing and patting going on.

What made me smile this morning was every time she kinda stirred and rolled over or changed position, she kept sticking her arm out and trying to put her little arm around me! It was so cute, and very new; usually she just kicks us then snuggles but not with the whole arm thing. And she even patted me a few times - that just made me smile even more.

My two year old little girl was sleeping in bed with me this morning. When she woke up she put both arms around me, kissed me all over my face, and said "I love you momma. Good Morning Mama".... and then since I still had my eyes close... in a more serious tone "Wake up! Mama! Wake Up!"

My 3 year old hugged me and said, "Mommy, you're the best."

Thanks for the pregnancy music videos. Good for a few smiles indeed!

one of my best friends made me two cute baby blankets... both with stars on them (I love stars!) and a nursing bracelet and sent them to me as a surprise today!

I was in the bath (trying to soothe some unpleasant pregnancy isssues) earlier. I finally started relaxing and drifting off when I both felt and SAW the baby kicking! It was so awesome I cried...

My diabetes test was not even questionable... theres no doubt diabetes is not an issue with me

(this is a worry with every pregnancy as I do have a family risk of diabetes... which usually shows up first as gestational)

Also... my 7 year old just asked me if pregnancy makes me "have a useless mind?"

It was just him trying to ask if I am being forgetful but was not really sure how to word it. Too cute and true today though, I do feel like its useless when I have to ask him three times if he got the mail (and he DID answer me all three times, but I would forget until I ask again)
