PP Food Allergies

Hello to all of the Mothers out there!

I gave birth to my son in December of 2008. I had weird illness symptoms before I became pregnant, that included passing out and many other things. These symptoms subsided during the pregnancy because my hormones were of course regulated on their own. I also have Hashimotos so that regulated itself as well but after birth about a week in I gained more weight than I had the entire pregnancy and my symptoms were back with a vengance!

There were days where I could not physically move because I was so ill. Over tired, shaky, sleepy and migranes and pains that would not subside. I went to the doctors and they said it was pp depression. I didnt buy it. I went to a homeopath who did some allergy tests on me and low and behold I have reactions to the following....Lactose/dairy, soy, gluten, and histamine (anything that is old, fermented, or was a living object like animal that has been dead too long).

I have been doing fairly well with the modifications but find myself getting bored. The lactose pills dont work for me anymore...that lasted a month, and now I am getting frustrated because I find myself not able to lose weight because I endulge in one thing per day that I should not eat. The littlest bit makes me bloat and gain.

My question is, has anyone else had this and to the extreme....and if so how did you deal?

I am keeping a blog with recipes for people like me and those who would like to contribute should email me please.

I was also hearing things about diets that can help cure these problems and am wondering if anyone has tried them and if they work? Thanks and all the best!

If you have Hashimoto's how are you treating it? Do you know that your antibody levels are low now?

Low thyroid can cause all of those sx: allergies, weight gain, tiredness, etc.

Are you gluten free? There is evidence that the gluten protein mimics the thyroid protein and that is what triggers the body to attack both with Hashimoto's. Even if you just cut down or just eat once in a while it will prolong the attack.
