Anyone with a 1st cycle IVF story? - Page 2

it does seem early, which leads me to believe that the biggest ones were getting close to mature size and they didn't want her to ovulate on her own. I also remember having generally 10 days of stims.

I hope they can salvage this cycle! Update us when you can. G/L

1st cycle success stories

We had one... one... egg...out of all that. It made it to 7 cells by Day 3 and they transferred it to me on that day. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I have a keeper on my first, and probably only cycle. Any other 1st cycle success stories would really great.

My son was the result of our first try at IVF -- we transferred two embryos and one took. Now I'm pregnant again due to our second try at IVF. Only one embryo was transferred and it worked, so please keep the faith! I will be keeping you in my thoughts.

best of luck! the upside is that a 3-day transfer embryo spends more time in YOU and less time in the lab. i am sending all the positive energy i have your way!

I'm trying... it's pretty heavy cramping, very much like AF. Trying to be positive.

I am a member of a surrogate message board. All the gestational surrogates have IVF (of course) and it is not uncommon to hear them talk about heavy cramping at this point. Everyone is so worried the cycle hasn't worked but usually heavy cramping is no indication of a failed cycle. In fact, I think pains and cramping tend to indicate it HAS worked. Don't loose hope yet!

Well, 7days pt (10 days p-er) and pretty much nothing - some slight menstrual cramping, had bad menstrual bachache yesterday but that's less now, and no other symptoms... no bloating, gas, bbs are back to normal and no longer tender, not much appetite, not tired..nothing. No implantatio bleeding. Feels very much like right before AF.

klk43 - i've been stalking this thread now and again and I just wanted you to know that I have my fingers crossed for you!!!! I'm heading down the IVF path hopefully soon and I know how awesome it would be to have it happen on the first try!!! When do you have to have your blood test done??

Tuesday is the blood test. I'm not a POAS-aholic so am able to wait till then. But it's hard being positive when I don't feel one single symptom - all I feel are AF cramps that come and go. Am trying to stay positive by reading stories of women who felt no symptoms whatsoever. I did have a dream last night that my boss told my co-worker I was pregnant so maybe that's a good sign, lol.

I was so sure my period was coming right before I got my IVF bfp, so you never know! I had cramps that felt awfully familiar and got really bummed about the whole thing and then had a lovely surprise. Good luck!

My first IVF was successful! We have MF, antisperm antibodies. We transferred 2 8-cell embryos and got our beautiful daughter. I'm currently (newly) pregnant with frozen embryos from the same cycle!
