How many eggs do you eat per week?

I'm trying hard to stay on the straight and narrow, TF wise. I do rely on eggs for quick easy protein, and sometimes it might be 2 - 5 per day.

It occurs to me that this is not so TF or primal. It's just not a likely allocation of resources in a small family farm or foraging situation.

I'm curious how many you all eat per week. I'm guessing that in an egg heavy week I'm eating at least 20.

You?

Every week is "egg heavy" for me... always at least 2 dozen just for myself.

Wow, I guess I'm on the low end of the range. A dozen lasts two of us a week. We buy from a local farm that has a small pastured flock; they don't have tons of eggs, but we are in for a dozen weekly share. We eat more meat than eggs...but I think I'd be happy to eat more eggs than meat, too, if they're more available.

I probably eat about 1.5 dozen a week I would guess. It gets lower often in the winter when eggs aren't in season so much- that seems to work out well as I get tired of eating them.

In a regular week, we go through 2 dozen eggs. That's me and DH, and DD eats one every now and then.

I think we go through about 5 dozen a month..that includes using them in cooking/baking and eating them straight up fried or boiled.

Not eating much right now because my chickens just started laying! I do get eggs on WIC right now (once my ladies are all laying regularly I'll skip em) but they're standard store eggs, so I really don't like to straight up eat them, I usually just use them for baking.

When I eat 2 or 3 a day of "farm fresh" when it's available to me, though.

We go through about 6-7 eggs a day. Between my husband and 2 children, the other kiddos dont eat eggs everyday. WE live in Mexico and can buy them fresh from the corner store. So I buy 15 at a time and that last a few days. We have eggs every morning for breakfast. Along with other food.....but we love to eat a hot breakfast everyday.

We really go back and forth depending on how I am feeling. I kinda have a love/hate thing with them. I may eat none at all in one week and then use up 2 to 3 dozen the next. I've had two omelets in the last two days, so maybe 6 eggs.

I get 2 doz eggs a week from the local farm. DH eats maybe 3 eggs on the weekend, and DS and I eat the rest during the week, in stuff and on their own for breakfast. We love our eggs!

The 2 of us go through about 3 doz a week. If i'm baking, more.

Our family consumes about half a dozen eggs every day.

Lately my favorite breakfast is three poached eggs with ham or chicken livers cooked in 4 TB of butter. This makes a sauce that I pour over the eggs, and then I mix everything together and add some seasoning. This tastes great with a cup of coffee and cream.

I think we eat about a dozen a week, maybe more like 1.5 dozen. Our chickens lay 1 - 3 a day and we try not to eat more than they lay ('cause it's annoying to buy them)

That's what I mean! I was wondering if the TF community generally eats more than a home flock would lay. I do.

In the past, we have gotten through around a dozen a day. Right now though, only DD and DS are eating eggs (DH and I aren't), so it has gone down to 7 or so, DS (10) eats three raw eggs plus one to two cooked eggs daily, and DD (12) will eat two raw or two cooked eggs a day. Right now we use around 4 to 5 dozen eggs a week.
