SILK jersey baby wrap-looks delicious-has anyone tried?

I was browsing some random baby websites yesterday and came across this silk jersey wrap

It's from Semilla baby and I have never heard of it or seen it anywhere online before. I googled Semilla (www.Semillababy.com) and it is a beautiful looking website and all of the carriers on there look so yummy to me.

I am especially loving the silk jersey wrap as I adore silk in general-the way it feels and drapes, and these colors are making me drool, the taupe for sure. But I wonder- would this be a comfortable/practical wrap? I haven't heard any mama review a wrap made of silk anything..and these are really expensive!

Thoughts?

Interesting.. never heard of that brand but it does look gorgeous.

For that much $$$ though, I'd prefer to buy a silk-blend woven wrap that will actually last through toddlerhood than a silk stretchy wrap. There are actually lots of wraps (the ones that come to mind are made by Didymos and Natibaby) that are silk blend, tried and true, loved by lots of mamas, and will set you back less than that, especially if you buy them used. I've had a couple of the Didymos silk wraps (pink silk millefiore and silk indio) and they are lovely to wrap with.. soft, drape nicely, pretty good support.
