What is the rule of thumb... (TMI)

When you take medicine and then throw up?

I have a headache and took some Excedrin. Within 5 minutes it all came back up. Can I retake it? Or is there some in my system?

Did the pills come up whole? At times I've dumped excedrin in my mouth and then filled up some drink to swallow it. In that short time it sometimes starts dissolving for me (yucky taste). So five minutes might allow release in my mind.
Tylenol would be the only potential over-dose I believe. I'd find my maximum tylenol dose and if it was under that take another. But if another would be over tylenol limits I'd not do it even though very likely you didn't absorb it. I'm just very careful with tylenol. You could try aspirin/ibuprofen and caffeine instead and just take Tylenol out of the picture.

ETA: I just realized this was three hours ago so I'm no help! I sometimes call poison control after I do something I'm pretty sure is ok and then second guess (in case you took them/I really think it's probably ok)

Not sure if it came up are not. If you know what I mean. Hard to tell.

Headache went away on it's own or with whatever med was still in there.
