I made a chocolate cake in the crockpot a couple weeks ago when my oven broke. I already had the cake mixed up when I realized the oven wasn't working properly. So, I put it in the crockpot and cooked it on low for about 6 hours. It was a bit dry, and I think it would have been done after about 4 1/2 hours. It tasted fine, and except for the dryness, had good texture and rose well. Definitely worth a try if you are craving cake. I used a cake mix (sorry, I know this is nutrition and good eating, not junk food), so I have no idea how a from-scratch cake would turn out. good luck!
