I would guess that meditation would be helpful. There should be some books you can read as well. Therapy would be a great option if you have access to it. Mostly it's a matter of coming to terms with the fact that you did the best you could at the time. I try to remind myself that all human beings are doing their best, given their particular set of circumstances. Look forward and see how your regret can prevent you from make the same mistakes in the future. It's all a learning experience...hope that helps.

The best way I have dealt with regret is to do a "do-over"

Going out and filling in the void.

For me, childhood.. so now I do all the thigns I wanted to do as a child that I missed out on for example.

I don't know if you are comfortable sharing, but what is the regret that you have? Sometimes it helps to talk to a professional...if you haven't already. It sounds like you are looking at different "alternative" methods, too. For a lot of people journaling is therapeutic, and also, what the above poster stated -going out and filling the void (with positive experiences!). For me, talking to a counselor was extremely helpful. Living regret it no fun, and I struggle with it quite often. Alot of us have been in your boat before. I know how you feel.

Remind yourself that all the things that have happened to you in life have led you to where you are now, and you wouldn't have the good things in your life if those things you regret hadn't happened.
