Breast Milk for Non-Nursing Toddlers?

My DS is 29 months old and I’m about 24 weeks pregnant with #2. DS weaned when he was 25 months old. My milk dried up due to the pregnancy so he just wasn’t interested in nursing anymore.

Once the new baby comes I’ve considered pumping some additional milk for him. I’m not interested in reestablishing nursing with him, but if he could still get health benefits from the milk I would have no problem pumping extra.

Has anyone ever done this with their children? Would he still get health benefits from the milk?

Thanks

I've done this a few times for DS. I've wanted to do it more often, but I just don't pump very often -- and when I do I feel as though I should save it for DD who would really need it. DS did drink most of it when I gave it to him, but he didn't finish it. Which is also hard to see...so that's another reason why I don't do it too often.
