Please help me heal my feet!

I have eczema between my toes (no where else luckily). I've been doing some reading on here and elsewhere about how to resolve this from the inside, but in the meantime I need some help for the outside. My toes get INTENSELY itchy. Usually I am able to distract myself from it, but sometimes I just can't. So, then I kind of rub my sock between my toes.

Well today I was doing this as I read my e-mails and before I knew it, I had rubbed all the skin off my toes. Now they hurt so much I can barely walk. So, what can I do to help them heal? And, any ideas on how to reduce the itching? I have a script for a steroid, but I'd rather not use it if I don't have to.

Thanks!

Are you sure it's not fungal?

Yes. I actually thought it was athlete's foot at first. I tried every over the counter athlete's foot cream and nothing helped, so I went to the dermatologist. She actually looked at a swab under the microscope (unlike my internist would have done) and said it was not fungal and diagnosed eczema. THis was about 2 years ago, when I was first pregnant with my now 14 mo old. He (my youngest) had eczema as a result of a sensitivity to dairy. I avoided dairy for several months until he outgrew it. Neither of my other 2 boys had any issues like that, so I think something is going on with me for sure.
