Anyone use a home management binder?

I spent hours last night reading about these.

I would love to see links/pictures if anyone uses these and what you find most helpful. I mainly would love to have something to keep track of daily meals and cleaning.

Would love your thoughts!

I just made mine today. I have more things I want to add to it, but the printer ran out of ink. I'm a little bit of a Type A. When I get it finished, I'll post pics, but I used some of the printables from Tipnut and from the Printable Roundup on One Pretty Thing. HTH!

I researched it and then put one together in January 2009. Haven't used it. Actually, I use it as a file system of sorts -- file the school schedules, home improvement (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) numbers/contacts, stamps, addresses, etc. But I don't use it daily for a cleaning schedule or grocery list.

After thinking a lot about this, I concluded that it would be foolish for me to make one that I couldn't take everywhere with me. So I used a small filofax for a year or so and it worked quite well.

But then I put my calendar on-line and that has been so great. I can see my spouse's work calendar, I can coordinate with my work calendar. It's so practical that it over-rides my interest in not being too "electronic."

Now all I need to complete the puzzle is to get a fancy phone so I can have my calendar with me wherever I go.

Yes. I made one about a month ago. It has been great for me and my boyfriend because we are trying to become more organized. Every month we were looking for the bills and the lease and stuff to get things paid on time, and now it is all there.

I am also using it with a little carry around calendar for myself that I keep a todo list on.

Mine is more like this. It is a collection of sheet protectors in a pretty binder. I have a sleeve for invitations, receipts, schedules, gift cards, takeout menus, and medical insurance things. I have a sturdy plastic envelope that is meant to go in a binder that holds identifying documents - SS cards, birth certificates, marriage certificate, etc. I made a list of important phone numbers that is in front, and opposite that is a sheet of "bedtime instructions" for the rare occasion that we have a babysitter, land a sheet of laundry instructions for DH. One sheet protector holds envelopes, stamps, return address labels, and a checkbook for paying bills. Greeting cards get stuck in the binder as well.

The grocery list and the Target list hangs on a magnetic whiteboard next to the binder. They are printed out and we highlight things as we run out of them. An envelope for coupons also hangs on the whiteboard.

The system works, but it isn't something that I would want to carry with me.

I use the MomAgenda Kitchen Folio...it has sleeves and tabs for organizing which I love. I have the following (not in any particular order):
-babysitter info
-calendar for each of the kids' activities
-school calendar
-takeout/delivery menus
-copy of monthly budget
-copy of current orders and POA as needed for deployments
-classroom rosters for kiddos' classes
-photocopy of kids' immunization records
-car maintenance checklist
-copy of marriage certificate/license
-copy of my professional license and certification

I love that I can add/take things away as needed, I have plenty of extra space in it, and i can grab it and go when need be!
