BFP then BFN?

Thread Starter
I tested on Monday FMU with an internet strip and got a BFP. Tuesday FMU with a FRER and and internet strip I got BFN. Friday evening and this morning BFN with Answer and internet strips.

*sigh* Chemical pregnancy? false positive? or is there still some hope for this cycle. My periods are irregular so idk when I ovulated, but if AF isn't here by the end of next week I would consider it late.

Thoughts? Opinions? Advice?

Thanks!

Honestly, there are probably a number of things it could be at this point. If you think the BFP was accurate, then you may want to simply call your doctor and explain the situation and see what they say. They may have you go in for a blood test, because that can measure your exact level of hcg.

Hopefully someone else will chime in as well, but without any other information to go on, I think would be difficult to narrow down an explanation.

I agree it could be either. Was the internet strip blue or pink dye? Blue dye often gives false positives. Without knowing exactly how many dpo's you are it is hard to tell. I would try to get a blood test or test again this week. But I would probably say BFN and maybe chemical pregnancy. But I really have no idea just trying to help. And well I think I probably made it worse.

it could be so many things
First, are you sure the BFP wasn't just an evap? Sometimes the interenet cheapies are notorious for those. (so you saw the line within the time limit and it def has color?)
Since you don't know how many dpo you are, the other tests could just not be as sensitive , or you could have caught a chemical pregnancy.
I hope it reveals itself soon and hopefully it is another BFP in the making!

I agree, it could be a few possible scenarios.

So, my advice would be to wait a few days, retest and if it's still BFN and no AF then maybe see your doctor depending on how late your AF is.
