Anyone else's weaned toddler still have "security boo" habits?

My 20 mo. old son has been fully weaned for probably the last 2 months. (I'm pregnant again, it was so gradual that I really don't know exactly when it happened.)

He still wants me to make them available for him to touch one when he is falling asleep. Then he sucks his thumb, has his 'security boo' and is asleep within 5-10 minutes.

Anyone else have a kid like this? Oh, when he's sleepy sometimes he will pull on the neck of my shirt or stick his hand down and say 'boo, boo'....

DS is almost 3, and hasn't nursed in about two weeks now. At this point, he usually asks for milk once at bedtime, but settles for water. He's always been a binky boy, so that might help - he sucks on his pacifier for a while. (We'll work on that soon.)

He does still like to touch for sleep. Lately at bedtime (since we stopped nursing), he goes through a phase where he just wants to lay down on top of me and rest.

My DS has been weaned for 8 months and still wants to touch my boobs esp. when he's going to sleep. When we nightweaned touching the boobies helped him to go back to sleep without nursing. I think there's definitely a huge comfort factor there even without any milk / sucking / nursing.

DD, on the other hand, who night weaned and weaned-weaned at the exact same time (they are twins) has no interest in the boobies.

interesting....I'll be interested to see too if this 'security boo' thing eventually leads back to wanting to nurse when he figures out there's milkies again or if it won't....
