Hi all,
My DD is 4 weeks old. Her weight gain has been just okay so far and is slowing down. I had a breast reduction several years ago and am working through some supply issues. I am currently doing everything possible to get my supply up (pumping, herbs, breast compression, nursing a ton, etc) but may have to supplement depending on her weight gain over the next few days. I have frozen milk so I will be supping with my milk. What I am wondering is, how soon is too soon to introduce the bottle? I have to go back to work in 3 weeks so part of me thinks that if I have to supplement, I should just use the bottle since she needs to take one soon anyways. BUT, I don't want to worry about flow preference ( I will use new born flow nipples) I had to supp DD#1 from 1 week on and used bottles and never had any issues with flow preference but things are going pretty well with this one and don't want to mess with it.

I don't want to use a supplemental nursing system though--too much trouble for just the small amount of supp that I will need (no more than 3oz per day, I think).

Thanks in advance for your help!
