I had surgery last week and today is my first day post-surgery when I'm alone with DS while DH works. My strategy: break all the nursing rules and just lay in bed and let him go at it. He's seriously in seventh heaven. It's a win-win! He nurses whenever the heck he wants to and I just get to lay here and feel sore. He's being so quiet and just plays and nurses. This is sooooooo much better than being up and running around with him.
Of course, later today I have to drag myself out of bed to get DS down to his dr. appt, but at least these few hours of laying around have helped a bit.
