Do you have a weekly/ biweekly to-do list?

Do you have a weekly/ biweekly (monthly, yearly, etc.) to do list?

I mean all the unvariable stuff sectioned off into smaller tasks so that cleaning the house is not all done at once?... dust, wash toilets, vacuum upstairs, vacuum downstairs

And then perhaps a monthly, or seasonal to do list of things like wash windows, wash behind fridge, etc etc...

Reason I'm asking is that I'm thinking of making myself a list for each week or maybe biweekly and breaking down the tasks into small areas... some people might have this broken down into days (i.e. mondays they dust, tuesdays wash bathrooms, etc) but this doesnt work for me because some days I'm away from the house all day or we have an appt and i dont like getting off track.. so thats why i figured a list of things to do, from top to bottom, then when i get to the bottom i just start over...

What do you think of this?

am trying to find out the same thing too, a bit like "what is one supposed to do" , because I worry about what I am not doing ....

wish I still had these flyers that would be dropped by the front door (when I was living in the US) advertising for various cleaning companies by listing ALL that the crew would be cleaning ....

I generally use the Flylady's zone stuff, even though I don't do them on her schedule at all. Here's the detailed cleaning list for each zone. http://flylady.net/images/Detailed_Cleaning_Lists.pdf
The suggestion is to do at least 15 minutes a day working on each zone, but I usually end up just trying to work on at least a couple items per week.

IsaFrench... A list like that would be wonderful, and I think flylady's list is a great start for me... i think what would work best for ME is to incorporate flylady's list into a checklist kind of thing... kind of what they have in bathrooms in stores for hourly checks sort of thing.. that way instead of just having a list you can actually check it off and see that you have made progress...

Maybe I'll make myself a list eventually and post it on here to share... i just really have to put some thought into it.. i'm kind of a perfectionist..

Motivated Moms... it's 4 dollars at the moment and consists of a daily checklist! I found out about it recently (there are a few threads about MM), tried it for a week, and bought it.

It combines a set of do every day "chores" (from exercise to vitamins to feeding the pets to cleaning the sink) with different daily "tasks"... but the thing I really like is that the tasks are very small/doable. For example, a task might be to clean the top shelf of the fridge. JUST that shelf. But over a month or two you really do hit everything. And it includes seasonal things as well. Every day is different, it includes self-care items along with household tasks, and it is presented in bite sized chunks.
