This is awful of me to say.....but I'm really glad your ds got to see his grandpa. It sounds like he is one man that Owen can rely on (along with your current dp).

I hate that you have to deal with this UAV. I don't think he really will call O twice a week anyway - he hasn't called him since when? Since you moved - is that right?? B/c really, twice a week is alot when you're not in the habit.

I would be tempted to sit down with them and ask them flat out what the deal is - no games. They don't really want your son. They don't care about him. It's such a shame.

I was really really tempted to on Monday. My only hesitation is that they would twist it around and try to use that against me in court (tell the court I'm trying to get ex out of ds's life or whatever).

DS loves his Grandpa He really looks forward to our Michigan visits because they are basically visits with Grandpa (since ex doesn't show up or only sees him for a very small fraction of the time available).

Ex has NEVER called ds. DS will turn 7 in October. We moved 3 years ago. Not one phone call. From the sounds of it, ex's wife was trying to set up the phone calls for days/times where she would be around. I'll bet ya money she even dials the phone and puts it against ex's ear

And once that new babe comes into the world she's not going to have the time or energy to micromanage your ex's relationship with O. I think you're right to make sure that O has a relationship with the man before letting him take him alone, but I don't think that this guy is going to stick around to get what you offered.
