The NEW "Still Waiting" Thread! - Page 15

Thank you, ladies!

I went and got some evening primrose oil and castor oil this morning to try to move things along. I wish I'd done this eariler! I've taken 4 of the EPO capsules orally and 2 vaginally so far. Tonight I'm going to insert 2 more.

The castor oil, I think I overdid. I took 4 oz., which is the most effective dose I found from my online research, mixed with some orange juice. Had some dinner an hour later, and an hour after that was puking my guts up. Now, I know that it stayed down for at least 2 hours so I'm hoping that something got absorbed!

Was considering taking a little more before bed, but that's probably not wise.

Quick update. Annemarie was born FINALLY on Sun., August 15. I was induced with cytotec. Took 5 doses over 24 hours, but fnally it worked. If that last dose hadn't worked, they were about to send me home and have me wait it out for another 2 days! Once it got rolling though, it all happened very fast. Actual labor was probably about 9 hours. Lost my mucuous plug first, then my water broke. Then we discovered that I had finally dialated from nothing to a 2, then 30 minutes later to a 4, then to a 7 an hour later, then another hour to a 10. I got an epidural after the contractions became too painful. Then pushed for about 2 hours.

The baby is beautiful. 6 lbs, 13 ounces. Which is normal, but on the small side for a baby almost 2 weeks late! So I guess she did come exactly when she was supposed to after all.
