I think I am going crazy....

I posted a few months back about stomach trouble I was having. Hard time eating, felt like I have morning sickness all the time.....This all started after my sister in law died and on the same day my son had a febrile seizure and almost drowned.
I am still having all these symptoms but they are not as intense but now I frequently have this weird tingling feeling throughout my body like you get before you throw up or when you are really nervous. this can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few days. I can hardly eat because I feel so sick and have lost 8lbs in the last month.
I have an unnatural fear of catching a stomach virus. If I hear mention of anyone around having a stomach issue I start getting hot and tingly and sick at my stomach. I haven't actually thrown up though.

Does this sound more like an anxiety issue than a GI issue???

Is there anything natural I can take to help me cope or should I just go to the dr. and get a RX for something.
My sister is on Lexapro and says it made all the difference in the world for her.

I can't live like this I am going crazy, I feel crazy.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

It honestly sounds like an anxiety issue to me. There are meds out there that help but you dont have to take them every day just when needed. I am actually planning to get something like that since I have irritating side effects with regular anti anxiety meds.

I have no answers but want to let you know you are not alone - I am pretty much having the same exact symptoms. I can't tell if the digestive stuff is causing the shaky/nervous sensations or the shaky/nervous waves are causing the digestive stuff. I have lost 25 pounds in 2 months. I can't stand the weird tingling feeling and I don't know what makes it come or go. Sometimes I think its low blood sugar but eating doesn't help, so I don't think that's it. I also have the nausea, but haven't thrown up. And I get waves of terror and nausea when the stomach flu is mentioned in the neighborhood.

Hang in there... and if you find answers, please let me know... its been going on 3 months for me now. The only time I feel almost normal is on the acupuncturists table being needled... so you might try acupuncture to get some (temporary anyway) relief.

Sounds more like anxiety to me. There are different medications you can take, some you take only when needed and for more severe anxiety there are daily ones.

It's also important to get some kind of cognitive behavioural therapy which will teach you ways to deal with the anxiety. I find mindfulness and distraction work the best for me. I don't generally get anxiety (more a depression kind of girl myself!) but when DH left I was a mess! It's a horrible feeling to have.
