My kids all have pertussis... I'm confused about SA dosing...

Hi, I'm really sorry if this is somewhere obvious and I am just missing it. I'm exhausted and I've read over and over the SA threads, but I'm just not seeing it::
I get the dosing -- for WC -- 275mg/kg of body weight=dose to be take over 24hrs.
2.2lbs=1kg.
My problem is this:: I don't have a scale. I have no idea how to measure the actual SA to give to my kids!
Again, I'm sorry if this is somewhere obvious, or I am just not thinking of something obvious... I'm just exhausted!
My 3 kids all have pertussis and the youngest is 9mos....
Any other tips on how to get through this would be appreciated

What type of SA do you have? All types I have seen have a dosage conversion on the back of the bottle. So it should say something like: 1/8tsp is equal to 1000mg.

When you are giving the dosage watch for runny stools. If this happens you have reached bowel tolerance and you have to back off on the dosage.

Thanks for replying. I have the NOW brand Sodium Ascorbate. It says in the Supplement Facts this:: Serving size (I know this is irrellevant) 1/2 level teaspoon (1.9g).
?
I'm still confused... again.... I'm sorry if this is such a stupid question...

I think you have the answer right there...
1/2 level tsp = 1.9g

1.9g is 1900 mg

I would also get some Ivy Calm
http://www.amazon.com/Enzymatic-Ivy-...9652292&sr=8-2

A steam inhaler
http://www.amazon.com/PERSONAL-STEAM...652347&sr=1-18

In the steamer, use boiling water (be careful to wrap the inhaler in a towel and make sure it's completely secure) Use an Essential oil mixture of lavender, thyme, rosemary and balsam of peru http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...106_209&fsc=-1

Those steam ingredients are from an inhalation decongestant that I get from France. It works beautifully, but you can't get it here. Try 3 drops of lavender, 6 drops of thyme, 10 drops of rosemary and 15 drops of the Balsam of Peru. If you can't afford all that stuff, just get the balsam of Peru. You want the steam to smell of this pretty strong, but to be too overwhelming. For your younger kids (under 12 make it weaker.)

Also, I would give NO dairy except breastmilk. Also, no citrus as that can make mucous stickier. Lots of water.

Do you have a dr. that you trust? Can you call a naturapathic dr?

I hope your family recovers.

It's pretty bad here right now, too. I'm rereading all my info...

This link is making me feel better:
