Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Workbooks

Okay, so I really want to change some of my behaviors as I have always been negative and a little prone to drama (personal, not gossiping) and it worked for me but with two toddlers, I'm ready to change.

I can see a counselor for family issues but I really want to start to change for the better. SOOOO... finally I thought of looking up books on Amazon and I found these CBT workbooks.

What do you think?

http://www.amazon.com/Relaxation-Red...615988&sr=8-10

(I don't think I have a personality disorder, not a full-blown one, at least! But on the other hand, I have a lot I want to change.)

Has anyone used one of these?

I haven't read the ones you linked but I highly recommend 'Feeling Good' (for personal negativity and depression) and 'Feeling Good Together' (for relationship issues), both by David Burns.

Depending on what you mean by 'drama,' the DBT workbook by Marsha Linehan might be good as well.

I read good things about the Linehan book on other Amazon reviews. I am not going to do a relationship one--it would just be setting myself up for disappointment. Is that a workbook? It looks like just a book. I need something interactive to encourage me to analyze my thoughts, write them down... I mean, I know what I need to do but I feel a workbook would help. Like buying a day-planner instead of a regular notebook... sure, I could fill in the dates, but a day-planner seems to help.

I couldn't find the book by Linehan... she has a different one for borderline personality disorder.
