HCG diet SUPPORT thread - Page 7

So it's been a week of VLCD for me. Today was my 7th weigh in and I'm down 10lbs. I'm expecting my weight loss to slow down now, as the last couple days have been .5lbs instead of 1+lbs. I think I may step up the detox support, as I haven't really been doing anything much. I did take an epsom salt bath Saturday night although I was almost out of epsom salts so it wasn't very concentrated. Going to pick up some more today along with some tea.

VLCD day 14 for me, 0.6 loss today.

That brings my round total to 14.4 lbs

Let's see, I was -.8 this morning. I've lost 20 lbs since June now.

And I've lost 3 inches off my hips in the past two weeks, 2 inches off of my thighs, an inch off my bust and an inch off my waist.

I need to up my water intake, I haven't been drinking as much as I should be...

Down about .3lbs this morning. Not great, but I'll take it. My bathroom "schedule" (for lack of a better term) has been every other day since starting the VLCD and I weighed in before, um, my bathroom appointment. So that may have thrown my numbers off a bit.
That said, I am also about to ovulate and I've noticed over the past couple days that even though I am drinking the same amount of water (at least 4 quarts, usually a little more) I am not peeing as much. And it has actually been very cool here, so it's not as i I'm sweating it out. So I think I may be retaining more water then usual. I did read in Pounds&Inches that while most women will retain during the days up to and during menstruation some will retain with ovulation. So hopefully that's the reason for me!

also remember that as your body is breaking down cells it retains water. What is often seen is a semi plateau followed by a whoosh. So you may find yourself started to "release" more water weight in the next day or two.

I keep writing a post and forgetting to click submit reply before one of the kids pulls me away.

After yesterday's 2 lb loss, I've stalled today. No biggie. I know I'm losing inches. I can feel it.

Keep up the good work, ladies!

True, true. It shouldn't matter why really, just knowing that I'm retaining water is a good enough explanation for me.

In other news, I made myself an omelette (1 whole egg and 3 whites) for dinner filled with sliced tomatoes from a friend. Also had a couple other sliced tomatoes on the side. Super yummy and totally hit the spot. I love tomatoes and can't wait to get off the VLCD so I can make myself a homemade pesto pizza topped with sliced tomatoes. Going to use the Tropical Traditions dough recipe which is cheese, eggs, flax, and coconut flour. Mmmmmmm... pizza.

Down 1.2lbs this morning.

check you ouuuuuuuuuuuuut!

That omelet sounds so good. I completely forgot that we could use eggs, if we add the extra whites. Tomorrow I might have breakfast no lunch and then dinner so I can have eggs in the morning w/ everyone. That would be fun.

No gain or loss today, but tomorrow marks three weeks on injections, so I'm not surprised things are slowing down a bit. And I'm really okay with it, too. I made a coffee drink yesterday - blended some cold hazelnut/vanilla flavored coffee with some coffee ice cubes I made, hazelnut stevia andice. It was pretty tasty.

Clover- Way to go! BTW, what did you cook your eggs in? I have a stainless steel pan, which it will stick to without butter. *drools at the thought of butter* My other option is cast iron, but it's seasoned with lots of fat. I would love to make this if I could get away with it.

Green- A stall is better than a gain! I stalled yesterday and today I lost 1 lb! Yippee!

I'm down a total of 16 lbs in 13 days!

I borrowed a non-stick pan from a friend to use for eggs. I usually use stainless steel but that needs some fat. Although when I made the eggs in a nest in my stainless steel pan they didn't stick too much. Maybe because of the moisture from sauteeing/steaming the greens first? Who knows.

And congrats on your loss Suburban! I'm down a little over 11lbs in 10 days. I would love to lose 20lbs total this round, so we shall shee if I can get there.

Greenmom, how much longer are you going for?

I'm doing a 40 day round, so I still have 3 weeks ahead of me.

Biggest single day loss for me today: down 3.4 lbs!

I decide to try an apple day yesterday, since I have been feeling 'stuck-ish' -- and like I never let go of the extra retained fluid from TOM.

It also gave me a much-needed break from thinking/planning my meals. Just for one day it was nice to have the simplicity of just grabbing an apple.

So I'm now down 18 lbs for the round (I'm on day 16 of VLCD) and 31 lbs since my birthday on June 5th.

very nice!

That's awesome, Mary!

I'm down .8lbs this morning.

Another stall day for me today. I'm feeling kind of backed up and I think I'm going to do an epsom bath this evening. I kind of knew this was coming...

I haven't gone #2 in almost 3 days. Natural Calm is not naturally calming my bowels. lol. I'm going to wait another day and if I still don't go, it's going to be Smooth Move tea again.

I'm down another 1 lb today which makes the math nice & easy. 17 lbs in 14 days!

Oh I am so happy to find this!!!

My NP just recommended this diet to me today...and I have been researching it since lol

I do have question though...how do you handle lunch on the go? We are very seldom home for lunch and usually either grab on the road or pack sandwiches etc. I know it sounds silly, but I cant wrap my head around this aspect of it

For meals on the go, just cook an extra portion of chicken or beef the night before. When we went to the zoo this week, I brought my grilled chicken, cucumber slices, and an apple with me and it was perfect for lunch. That being said, I was still drooling at the sight of popcorn and soft pretzels. I know they're just loaded with terrible ingredients though so I'm doing myself a favor by avoiding it.
