I was happy with the HCG Fusion.  Big plus is there's no taste.

 

I did hcg while nursing my 2.5 yo and noticed no change in supply, but she isn't nursing all day either.  I wouldn't personally be comfortable with a tiny one.  I know one person who did hhcg with a 6mo and she ate about 800 calories per day and did well (lost average amounts - about 1/2 lb per day), with no noticeable change in her milk supply, or baby's behavior.  Detoxing is a concern of mine, and from what I understand, some babies are more sensitive to it than others.  Burning the stored fat releases the toxins that were also stored with the fat, so it has to go somewhere. I was thinking the toxins leave the body through sweat as well as breastmilk but don't have any research or anything for you on that.  HTH some anyway :)

0.2 lower than my lowest LDW so far joy.gif I am at 148.2 this morning!

 

I really would like to get 20 more pounds off. I'm short enough (5'1") that being in the 120s isn't unreasonable. I'm 51yo, though, so I'd be happy with a bit higher. But I want to be solidly in the 130s at most.

 

Which means, I will have to do another round at some point. I am thinking (provided my house hasn't sold) after I get back from MA after Labor Day. Just get 'er done, y'know? I'm really tired of P2's lol.gif

Maiasaura!!! That is great news! It must be so nice to see that on the scale again since the Great Bean Soup fiasco!

 

Today was my first day of no drops. Tomorrow is my last day of VLCD...I am down exactly 20 lbs from my starting weight of 205.4. I am, as of this morning 185.4. I hardly feel like I lost any weight, my clothes don't fit that much different...I will be starting P2 round 2 October 1. If I can lose 20 more 165 would be a fantastic goal. I am 5' 9".

Thanks! I was down to 148.0 yesterday, but today I'm up 0.6 to my exact LDW (148.6) when I had the Great Bean Soup fiasco (great name, lol lol.gif). I don't know if that's a bad omen or a good one. Tomorrow is my last day of drops and I was hoping to be BELOW 148 greensad.gif Actually, I was hoping to be 145 or so. Dang. Oh well.

OK! So today was the first day of Phase 3!!!!!

 

My total lost after a 30 day phase was EXACTLY 20 lbs. Start: 205.4 End: 185.4

 

My inches broke down as such:

Bust: Lost 4 1/4 inches

Waist: Lost 3 inches

Hips: Lost 2 1/2 inches

Thigh: Lost 3 1/2 inches

Arm: Lost 3/8 of an inch (weird!)

Total Inches lost: 13 1/2 inches.

 

So nervous about P3...we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!

YAY, middlemama, go you thumb.gif I'm in P3 starting...well, officially tomorrow, but I have been huffing eucalyptus essential oil hoping to antidote. I'm dying for real food and srsly, have been waking up dreaming of fatty meats and such lol.gif

 

I'm going to take it easy this morning, and act as if I'm still on VLCD without drops, but by tonight I may have a chicken leg or something. NOM. I'm exactly at the weight I was at the beginning of the Great Bean Soup Debacle. Dammit, I'm going to do this right, this time! I'm so anxious just to eat and eat and eat...but I have to go s-l-o-w-l-y. One day at a time, one meal at a time, one choice at a time. Thankfully I am not wanting too much of anything except meats right now. Not even butter is tempting me. Just meat and skin and lots of it. And oil on my skin-- oh, bliss. Tomorrow. I've waited this long. Must.Be.Patient.

 

I was on P2 for 29 days and lost 24.4lbs. I'm good with that orngbiggrin.gif I will have to do one more round, and I will probably do that right after I come back from MA in September. I'm not fooling around with this anymore.

We  today was day 3 of phase 3, and so far all is well. I lost 1.4 pounds the first day of phase 3. so I am 184 even and have been for 2 days. I am having a hard time eating enough...I don't have any desire to eat. I know that is going to bite me in the butt, but I hate eating when I don't feel I want to.

I know what you mean! I'm so used to not eating breakfast anymore. I didn't eat this morning, and when I got home from taking ds to school, and grocery shopping, I was ravenous. I have to keep on top of that. I don't want to get that hungry.

 

So yesterday, I did eat some at that potluck-- there was compliant food, but I think I added too much too soon. Brie and cheddar, for one, even though it wasn't much. I was up a pound today, though within range. Too much cocoa crack, too, probably lol.gif There's a reason "crack" is in the name! Hard to stop eating that stuff!

Ok so today was day 10 of phase 3...and I am sitting steady at 184.6. I was 185 for like 6 days and then this morning I was 184.6.

 

I was so scared of p3...and its going really well!

 

Cannot wait to do a second round of p2 and get more off!

I'm on day 9-1/2 (I started evening of a day) of P3 and I'm up almost  5lbs greensad.gif This is typical for me, but hopefully I will hold steady and not keep gaining like I have every day but one, for the last 9 days. I'm not happy at all. I've been very nearly NO carbing it, and still gaining. Couple days back, I ate a beef veg soup that had potatoes in it, and carrots. I picked out every last potato and carrot, but friends of mine think it's possible that potato starch contaminated the soup and I'm that sensitive to it. I'm feeling pretty discouraged today, but I'm not letting it get me down. Trying not to. I'm going back into P2 around...oh...the 10th maybe. Of September.

I have to wonder about the starch issue...cause I have not been total no carb...and fat wise I have been eating like crap. I have had mug bread almost every night with cream cheese mixed with sugar free strawberry jam and stevia. I have had greek yogurt nearly every day. I have eggs and cheese for breakfast almost every day. And today!!! I weighed 183.8!!!! OMG!!!! But I have not touched a STARCH...or SUGAR. So maybe Maia its really the starches...I don't know sweetie......I sure am pulling for you though...I would be so discouraged too. HUGS!!!

What is mug bread and what's in sugar-free jam? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to handle any of that. But it sounds yummy.

 

Today is the first day in over a week that I didn't gain. I was up 1.6 yesterday!! I was down 0.2 today. I'm scared to hope, but it'd be nice if I held steady. I'm not holding my breath, though. Uber low carb again today, in hopes that I hold tomorrow, too.

Mug Bread:

 

1/4 flaxseed meal

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

1 packet of stevia

 

Mix in a mug.

 

In a bowl beat a tsp of butter and 1 whole egg. Pour butter/egg into the mug and mix up well.

 

Put the mug in the microwave for 1.5 minutes on high.

 

Pop out of mug, slice into 4 slices and eat!

 

The sugar free jam has splenda in it.

 

Well I will cross my fingers for you that you stay steady!!! Sending you good stay steady vibes!

That sounds....slimy. Is it? I made a hot cereal from flax and pumpkin and it was slimy. Blech! lol.

 

Nope. No steady. I'm up yet another 1.6 today, over 7lbs in like 9 days bawling.gif

 

I'm so, so discouraged. I don't know what to do. I'm near tears all morning. I'm doing everything right. Not cheating at all. It had to have been that potato in the soup, even though I didn't eat any, some of the starch must've leached out. I'm so freaking hurt. This is the 4th time. The first 3, I really effed up by my ownself, cheating and eating sugar and stuff, but this time? Not at all. I'd go back into P2 yesterday  if I wasn't going to see M next week.

 

I know this works-- many of you have stabilized at a lower weight and stayed there. But I'm so wanting to blame the protocol right now-- because if it's not the protocol's fault, that means I'm a defect on legs mecry.gif

I am so sorry Maia....Wish I had some good advice..Avani has a good point to ponder deeply.

 

@ mug bread...no not slimy at all...it is JUST LIKE BREAD.... :) I will tell you what though I think your body can get used to so much flax it doesn't help your intestines anymore. I ate this bread like 6 days in a row and still no potty. :( Phase 3 really sucks in that regard. (for me anyway)...the only thing that helps is Herbal Medicinals Tea Smooth Move.

 

I was 183.8 yesterday and this morning AF showed up and I am 186.2...I am NOT doing a steak day because I think this is entirely AF. On the drops I gained a pound during AF and it went away after AF. I will drink a lot of water today and see if that helps. This is a 2.6 gain but seriously with AF I am just not worried about it.

I don't think so. Why would I gain over 7lbs in a week if so? Plus, I'm only 5'1" and 156 is still fat for my height. Nothing like 185, though-- that was WAY fat! Believe me, I am grateful for the 30lbs off. But my body is fighting me tooth and nail to get back to 185, I think, and I utterly refuse to let it!

I dread mornings, and I get really down when I weigh, and that down lasts half the day now, and then I pretend everything's normal till it starts all over again the next day. I'm just hanging by a thread until I get back from M's, when I can start P2 again.

 

Tastes just like bread, really? Might have to try it. I didn't mean...by slimy I didn't mean the results lol.gif I meant the taste and feel of the food! But I don't respond very badly to flax either, I don't think.

 

OH! ETA: you said 1/4 flax meal...you didn't say 1/4 of what? A cup? Also, how much stevia is in a packet? I have loose powder and I have liquid drops. Thanks!

Just wanted to update (I had posted a few days ago about doing hcg with a young nursling): I started the VLCD and by the third day of it my milk supply had totally tanked and ds had urate crystals in his diaper :( Poor kid. I could still express some but was not feeling a let-down and ds was frantically sucking and wanting to nurse all the time. My toddler who nurses once a day pulled off yesterday and said "milk all gone?"

 

Luckily after a good supper last night and some fennel tea, my supply was back up. So I'll just be low-carbing it for now until my babe is older. I didn't really mind the protocol. It was worth it for the reward at the scale every morning ( I lost 5.4lbs in 3 days). Good luck to all of you!
