Have you checked your scale? It almost sounds like there might have been a malfunction......did you try weighing again after a while? Sometimes mine seems "stuck" on a weight so I put something else with a completely different weight on it (such as my son orngbiggrin.gif) and then try weighing again. Or change the batteries?

Apart from that, I would probably do a high protein/steak day to try to trigger the next losses.

Oh, wait: I just went back to see what you ate yesterday....was that the first time you had the Oscar Mayer lunch meat? Maybe there's a reason that lunch meat isn't listed under allowed foods, even though it SEEMS P2 compliant.....?

On the whole, it seems to me that there really was A LOT of salt in yesterday's menu (lunch meat, pickle and sauerkraut). I know you said you didn't have problems with salt before but maybe there was something in the combination that doesn't work for you?

I don't think two beans would do squat. I weighed myself 3x and it came up the same each time. Sometimes it doesn't do that. DS wasn't awake yet.

No, it's not the first time I had that lunch meat, but it IS the first time this Round. And also, I'm trying to remember...I might have had THREE meals, but I can't remember! I have got to start writing things down. I had chard, too. An entire bunch. I dunno.

Today I'm doing things normally, but no half and half, and I haven't had any fruit today. Though, I want some. What I do from here in depends on tomorrow's scale reading. I'm not panicking; I'm just bummed because I have certain amounts of time in which to do this-- I visit M every two months or so. At his house I can not be in P2. P3 is hard enough to be in while there. All he eats--all he eats-- is things like mac'n'cheese and hot dogs and lunch meat (which is about the healthiest thing he has) and American cheese and cereal.

I had, so far today, asparagus and cod. A cup of tea with stevia, and two cups of black decaf.

I have got to write things down every day or I will forget! Plus if I write stuff down, even the little times when I do things like lick my finger when putting butter on ds's English muffin, then I can maybe track oopsies.

You know, it's weird, but I talked to my mother after reading your earlier post and she said she had exactly the same amount of gain from yesterday to today. And she doesn't know why, either. She said the only thing she did "wrong" was licking her finger after dishing up chocolate cake for a friend.

She said her gain must be caused by her mind....she was probably drooling over the cake so much that her body thought she actually had some LOL

That must be hard, coming out of P2 and being in a household where the other person eats so (let's put it neutrally LOL) "differently". Man, doesn't he realize that too much crappy stuff is bad for him? redface.gif

Oh well....still, look at the big picture, look at how nicely you were losing in the days before. You'll get where you want to be at sometime.....you'll just have to be patient redface.gif

Good luck for your date with the scale tomorrow morning smile.gif

And then I had the rest of the asparagus-- it was a huge bunch, but it was fresh and yummy! Almost worth the foul-smelling pee redface.gif and I had a piece of chicken. It was precooked and I was hungry enough to just eat it cold while reading a magazine. Really yummy, though-- I had tried a lime marinade that someone posted ages ago, and it was really good! I didn't think it would be because it kind of smelled icky after a day or so in the marinade, but YUM.

And an egg. I was SO hungry. I did not eat the egg at the same time as the chicken and stuff. I just felt like I needed the extra protein fingersx.gif

And I just had a limeade. Juice of one lime, stevia, water, ice. And I sprinkled stevia on what was left of the inside of one lime half and ate that, too.
I'm done!
lol.gif

Now for the fun part: for two days I have suspected, but is now mostly confirmed, that I have a yeast infection greensad.gif I'm glad I have borax capsules and I bought yogurt to put on it, and I do have acidophilus, but I hope that doesn't impact. It's made with sucrose, but I need them. I'm all itchy and painful greensad.gif REALLY glad I'm not visiting M right now! Can't figure out where this came from, though. Some kind of dietary imbalance, I'd guess, but I've been on P2 for over a week and a half already headscratch.gif

Thanks for the luck! orngbiggrin.gif I hope it goes well, too. I'll be happy to get this 3lb off in two days thumb.gif I will CRY if I have another gain, though.

M's diet is...well, M's diet. He does know it's bad, and he is becoming more dietarily aware. Against his will lol.gif

He's come a long way, believe me. 2-1/2 years ago, almost, when we first got back together, his idea of breakfast was coffee and a poptart, lunch was two cheeseburgers from BK (and often still is), and dinner was maybe...who knows. He doesn't always eat 3x a day, or much at all. Lucky if he has coffee for breakfast half the time. Snacks are a hotdog or Little Debbie cakes. He doesn't eat much, and what he does eat is (to me) horrifying!

When I go there, I make something in the crock pot which is usually meat of some sort, and maybe we have fresh green beans. I brought my own sugar-free mayonnaise last time and left it there, so I can have tuna. There's vinegar and oil and butter. I buy myself avocados and sometimes spinach or celery, and I bring my own homemade beef jerky. I can usually get by, though it's much harder than at home.

He lives in a teeny tiny studio and doesn't have a full kitchen-- only two burners, and a toaster oven which is a bazillion years old and I am afraid of it yikes2.gif but we can have chicken legs or leg quarters in there, I can eat burgers with real cheese and mustard and lettuce. I do alright.

And he often eats some of the things I cook when I'm there. He always eats the crock pot stuff.

As for your mom, I don't doubt it! Artificial sweeteners often have the same effect. But I swear I wasn't thinking about non-compliant foods yesterday!

Oh, blech....Yeast infections are so annoying. I used to get them all the time while DH and I were in our long distance relationship. I was fine for months while we were apart, then we would see each other again, and there you go, shortly after, there was the yeast infection. Luckily that pattern stopped after I moved over here and we got married orngbiggrin.gif

Actually, now that I think of it, I haven't had one in years......nice! I never really noticed that I stopped getting them, I guess. LOL

Good luck with getting rid of it. Hopefully it won't take too long redface.gif

I have been really happy with the scale these last few days. -1.2, -0.6, -1.6....and today I hit a big number: 80 lbs lost since last May. Yay biggrinbounce.gif

I still hate P2 eating (esp. today, since we were invited to a birthday party this morning and I couldn't eat anything), but at least it's working. That does help keep up your motivation.

How's everyone else's day going?

Edit: I forgot: Yesterday, there were two other ladies with "unexplained gains", just like yours, on the other forum....maybe there really was something in the air ;)

What other forum?

You had a long distance, too? Do tell! How did you meet? How long were you long-distance? That's so cool smile.gif

I am SO GLAD someone pre-warned me about the possibility of a yeast infection before I went to see M the first time. Because both of us had been celibate for nearly a decade! Yowsa, ow, huh? And then of all things, my mom-- 70+ years old-- had herself a long distance and I forgot to warn her, and here she goes and gets a raging infection after she got with her sweetie greensad.gif And she'd been celibate for lots of years. She and my dad split up back in the early 90s, or maybe even before. I felt so bad!

So before I went to see him, I was jamming on the cranberry and I think acidophilus and C and echinacea. And every time we see each other, about every 2 months or so, I do the same thing when I get back.

Rock on with the 80lbs, go you! clap.gif

I hate P2 eating, too, especially after 4 Rounds, but I just keep up the self-talk: "It's temporary, I can do this, just make it till you go to bed, tomorrow's another day", yadda yadda.

Oh, and I lost 1.4 since yesterday thumb.gif so it must have been some weird water flux or something. Maybe salt. I can't remember but I think I ate three meals the day before. I am trying to remember to track, now.

I had one chili bean today, and one blueberry. And one elbow from ds's mac'n'cheese to see if the macaroni was cooked.

I had such a hard day today. I really wanted to eat stuff. I am lucky those discrepancies (above) were all I did! My motivation today was knowing I really want to see a loss tomorrow, but BOY was it hard.

Aside from those things, I had:

chicken with 1/4 napa cabbage and broth

egg salad made with 1 egg + 3 egg whites, 3 kinds of mustard and ACV

1/2 cucumber

half and half in my coffee

*Cross fingers* for tomorrow fingersx.gif I almost didn't have the half and half, but I caved.

Congrats, nice loss!

The "other forum" is the one I told you about before...the hcgdietinfo.com forum. Very helpful for finding info about the diet. winky.gif

We had a LDR for almost exactly 5 years. We met on an airplane (I was going to AK for a vacation, he was coming back from one), he was shocked that I was going to AK right in the middle of winter without knowing anyone there, gave me his number and told me to look him up when I passed by his town. I did....and things developed from there LOL

Then we had a LDR for all those years because I went back home to go to university....and 1.5 months after getting my degree, I moved to AK. orngbiggrin.gif

How long have you been doing the long distance thing? It especially was difficult during the last year, we were so fed up with it.

But it was the same thing as with this diet: We were constantly telling ourselves that it's only temporary.....that's how we got through it. And that's how we are going to survive this danged P2, too winky.gif

I had hamburger and tomatoes for lunch and will have lettuce and crabmeat for dinner. Had an apple not too long ago, that made me more hungry.....so I chewed some gum (the stuff sweetened with Xylitol). It's not protocol, but it helps me fight my cravings, so I use it. It's licorice flavored....yummy.

But I hear you about wanting to "just eat stuff". Remember that I baked bread a few days ago? There's still 1.5 loaves sitting right on the counter, next to the coffee maker, and everytime I go and refill my coffee, my mouth is watering for the bread. Plus chocolate.......I so miss chocolate. greensad.gif

Oh well......it's only temporary, it's only temporary, it's only temporary, it's only temporary, it's only temporary, it's only.............ROTFLMAO.gif

That is going to be my new mantra.

We've been doing the LDR since October '09. Almost 2.5 years. And we are WAY over it. All that stands between us being together is my house not selling yet bawling.gif And I feel a sense of urgency, because even though he's in remission, he has CML and was diagnosed on '07...that can turn on a dime. I want to be with him, dang it!

Bread-- slice it and freeze it. I don't eat bread anymore, and ds rarely does, but I make him French toast and stuff, and so I keep the bread frozen. It works. Plus when I make sandwiches for school, I make them on frozen bread and it's thawed by lunchtime thumb.gif

Chocolate...I do too, but not as much. It does go away, mostly. Now it's not a craving as much as a reminiscing. Can you get cacao nibs? They're nice to just nibble on a couple. They're not P2 compliant either, but sometim3s just 3 or 4 nibs in an emergency lol.gif will make that thought go away. I know when I'm on P3 I can have cocoa crack again. AND-- I just found a donut recipe that is mostly P3 compliant! I am so going to revamp it. The only ingredient that needed subbing was honey, I think. I'm going to bed but remind me tomorrow I will post it for you!

Also-- Kalahari Chocolate Raspberry tea yummy.gif WITH stevia. it's good on its own, but sweetened it is just divine when you need something sweet. Have you made lemonade yet? YUM.

Ooooooh, yes please, do share that donut recipe. Mjam.....just the thought makes my mouth water (can you tell I'm really getting fed up with P2? LOL)

How's the scale been to you?

I stalled for a couple of days, thought I had another zero loss this morning, went to the bathroom half an hour later, and weighed again afterwards....and was a pound lighter. Thank goodness for smooth move tea orngbiggrin.gif

We just received an invitation to dinner for next weekend and I'm not happy about it. First of all, I don't like going out during P2. Second, I don't like several of the people there. Third, I even have to get a birthday gift for the guest of honor...whether I like her or not. Fourth, the hostess invited another couple with a small child so that our ds "would have someone his own age to play with".......I don't know the couple but I know the child (from nursery duty and children's church). Not someone I especially favor, not at all.

Then, I was just told by the hostess that the guest of honor had also done the hcg diet...but had cheated all the time (e.g. she ate potatoes during P2 eyesroll.gif). So I'm afraid that people will bug me to "just have a little of this or that" when I want to stay on protocol. Blah. Oh well....I told the hostess I'd be bringing my own food and that I didn't want to eat anything else. We'll see how it goes. Wish I could stay home, though. redface.gif

It's all temporary, it's all temporary, I want chocolate, it's all temporary, it's all temporary orngbiggrin.gif

I'd go have a cup of Smooth Move if I wasn't so tired. This is my last post and then I'm going to bed sleepytime.gif

Remind me about the recipe tomorrow. Wait! Found the link: http://comfybelly.com/2011/01/chocolate-honey-dipped-donuts-cupcakes/#.Tx4GfIHNnls If the honey isn't important for consistency, I think it will work. If not as a donut, than as something yummy lol.gif

Why in the world do you have to go to that party? I would SO say no. I mean really-- if you made pro/con columns on a paper, I don't think pro would win. Get out of it somehow! It sounds frightful. I for sure would come down with like...African flu or something.

Scale: I lost the 3lb in two days, and was at 151 yesterday, but was up 0.4 today greensad.gif I have no idea what that's about, but I realized I hadn't written in my journal in quite some time-- I've been writing my weights down-- and I weighed 154 like over a week ago, and I'm only down 3lb from that gloomy.gif What a waste of time. Gah. Oh well, I am going to be on P2 for another month, so who knows what can happen in that time. I would really, REALLY like to see -20lb by that time. I really would. Or more. I think I am going to have to do another Round, though. I'm thinking of 3 weeks of P3 and then cycling right back into P2 for a last short round. Hopefully a last one!

I'm 5'1", not even, really. I would like to see the120s. I haven't seen the 120s since I was like...hmm, 30ish years old or so.

How old is your LO again? I know you told me. Four?

Yes, he's 4. smile.gif

I don't think I can get out of that birthday thing. If my husband hadn't wanted to go, we all could have said that we had other plans already. But getting sick won't work because right the following morning we'll see everyone again at church. And I can't skip church on that particular day, because we'll be teaching children's church (we take turns, and it's ours). So it would be a bit unbelievable to come down with the African flu Saturday night and be well enough for teaching Sunday morning.....although they of all people should believe in miracle healings, right? lol.gif

Oh well...I guess, I'll just bite the bullet and get through it somehow. Next time I'll just say no right away, I should have known.

Hey, 3 lbs are nothing to sneeze at. I think the rounds just get more difficult the more we do. I have been struggling a bit, too. Had a small gain which might be attributed to a new handcream I tried (people on the other board said it's P2 compliant, but I'm not so sure anymore). Stopped using it and lost a pound this morning. I'll try it again some other time, though, it felt so good on my hands. winky.gif

I'll have to look at that recipe later. I'm really craving something nice. Can't wait for P3 and cocoa crack LOL

Well, got to run, ds has a playdate this morning. Talk to you later, hope the scale was good to you today, too smile.gif

You can do it. It's temporary, it's temporary, It's temporary!

The rounds DO get more difficult. My body has become a lot more sensitive to just about any carbs. My diet P3/4 has become much more limited. I can deal with it, probably, though, because I like myself smaller. The more I realize that I consider myself allergic, just like I am allergic to alcohol and drugs, the more accepting I can hopefully manage to be winky.gif

I'm a bit scared of this upcoming P3/P4. Since there's the vacation coming up, I'll just have the bare minimum of time for P3 (we leave right at the end of P3), and I probably won't be able to "carefully introduce food items one at a time" during P4 (first time in ages that I get to go on vacation, I really don't feel like watching what I eat all the time eyesroll.gif)

So I hope that this isn't going to hurt this round too much and that I'll still be able to stabilize somewhat redface.gif

I have the next round already planned for April, so I guess I'll have to count some if it as a "correction round" winky.gif

I'll do the next P3/P4 in the summer more carefully. And if I detect food sensitivities after that, I'll probably try that lasering method...that should prove interesting orngbiggrin.gif

It sounds like you're planning to just let it all go and eat what you want orngtongue.gif After all this work, why? You can do this! No starch no sugar, for the most part. Just keep that in mind and you'll do fine! You can't control hidden things, like in restaurants, but you can not eat bread and rolls and things. Accept the things you cannot change, change the things you can. You can do this. Where you going? Have fun!

I'm at 148.0 today thumb.gif

Congrats on the loss thumb.gif

I was down 1.2 today, too.....looks like whatever was in the air is gone orngbiggrin.gif

I know, it sounds like I was really planning on eating my way through the vacation, doesn't it? It's not quite that bad, but really, I haven't been on any fun vacation in years and years, and I really don't want to think about what to eat/what not to eat all the time. If dh and ds are ordering pizza, I want to have some, too, not just sit there, watch them, and nibble on a salad. That wouldn't feel like vacation to me. I'd rather do some correction losing afterwards.

We're going to California. DH has to go to a conference for the first few days, so I'll be able to do some fun stuff together with DS, then we all have 3 days together before having to fly back. We will only be in CA for a total of 8 days, so there's not that much time to eat LOL

I can't wait. We made one of those paper chains for ds, so he'll know how many days there are left until the vacation (he gets to tear one ring off each day), but I think I enjoy watching it get smaller even more than he does orngbiggrin.gif

Yoohoo...anybody out there? orngbiggrin.gif

How've you been?

I repeated the hot dog experiment, and this time it went well (-0.8 and -0.6 the next two days). So I guess, it really was sabotaged by the time of the month last time.

I've also had some more lean pork, with good results.....it's great to be able to eat some more variety.

Finally boight cabage, but didn't really care for it that much. I think I'd rather eat cauliflower, radishes or broccoli.

Well, tonight is the night of the "wonderful" birthday party/dinner invitation...wish me luck, hopefully we won't have to stay too long winky.gif

Wow, yay about the hot dogs! I am trying to be really vigilant with what I eat, except for the half and half I have nearly every day. I drink a lot of tea and still over a gallon of water a day, plus extra. Try cabbage like this: kind of shred it-- well, not shred, but cut pretty thin, in strips. Normally I saute in oil, but in P2 I steam it. Add butter flavoring (yes, they have it! By the vanilla, in the baking aisle!) and caraway seeds, and if you want, part of your apple, in small chunks. YUM!

I normally make soup out of it, with chicken, Health Valley nonfat broth, garlic, salt or Bragg's, pepper, a tiny touch of hot sauce, and nutritional yeast. Yummy.

I was up 0.2 today. Not sweating it, but if I'm up, or the same, tomorrow, I'm going to have an apple day.

I'm down 8lbs in 7 days. So good start!

Go Avani!

I was 147.8 yesterday. Today I got on the scale and it said 147.0 and immediately bumped up to 147.2, and stayed there (weighed once or twice after that to see). I wrote down 147.0 winky.gif

Even though I showed a loss, I am contemplating doing an apple day today. I need a break from the regular routine!

We have church from 11:15 to about 12:30, then we are going to a Celtic Christian Imbolc thingy which starts at 3, and there's a small potluck after. We went once before, and everybody brought bread! So this time, I am bringing apples, cut up, and blueberries, with a lime/stevia dressing, so I can have some, too thumb.gif

But that's partially why I'm thinking apple day, because that is just the time when I'm normally taking my drops, and then eating right afterwards.

I started at 153.6 last Sunday and today I weighed in at 144.0 So next week I should be back into the 130's! Can't wait. None of my clothes fit me after I gained all the weight back. I am being very, very vigilant this time around. It is only temporary..even after I finish i'm still going to be careful about what I eat. I'm not doing any fruit this time and eat very small amounts of everything. My appetite had gotten outta control with all the carbs I had been eating. Now that the toxins are clearing out I'm starting to feel lighter and more balanced.

Though I don't eat much fruit in P3, I am eating it now in this P2. Because I love most fruits and I still lose with them, so I'm doing it orngtongue.gif

We need to support one another, and I do thank you for reminding me of the temporariness of this plan! Thank you!

I did decide to have an apple day after all, and I almost, since I'm only having apples, had a 2nd round of coffee with half and half...and then I read what you posted. I am having it black, even though I think it's grossedout.gif by comparison. My favorite thing about P3 is the heavy cream!
