Has anyone else's kid figured out how to walk and then stopped doing it? DD spent weeks trying to get the hang of standing up in the middle of the room without support and was so obsessed about it. As soon as she got it down solid she started trying to take steps and she worked on that diligently for about a week to where she could do more like seven or eight steps and even turn corners but then...nothing. Now she will stand up but not often and really doesn't have any interest in trying to walk. She is back to full time crawling. Can anyone whose kid did this tell me if they did anything to encourage walking? Or even just some idea of a timeline for when DD might start wanting to walk again? I just know she would love all the perks of bipedalism if only she would give it a chance!

Can she still do these things? But, just isn't interested in them right now?
Has she stopped doing anything else?
Like, PP said, has she jumped ahead in something else, so walking's temporarily been put on the back burner?
If you don't see a reason for the regression, I'd go to your doc and have it checked out.
