Natural Remedies for Possible UTI?

hi all,
i'm waiting for my results to confirm whether or not i have a uti. if it isn't severe, i would love to treat the UTI with a natural remedy as opposed to antibiotics. any suggestions??

Get some acidophilus if you can. My HFS has one that is stored at room temperature, and a much more potent one that needs to be refrigerated. If given the choice, buy the more potent one, and take as directed. The reason yogurt is so good is because of the acidophilus. You can continue to take these supplements throughout your pregnancy to avoid another UTI in the future, too.

cranberry pills. I tried downing cranberry juice and i had the worst loose stools. OMG I thought i was in labor it was so uncomfortable! I'll stick to lots and lots and lots of water and cranberry in pill form from now on.

Cranberry pills do nothing for me but the pure juice (not Ocean Spray but the real stuff that tastes horrid) works like a charm and very quickly. Dilute it with water or OJ and shoot it back. It's bitter but it grows on you. Try to get a cup or so (undiluted) in asap then another 1/4 cup from time to time throughout the day and for a few days to come. It's powerful stuff. I used to get chronic UTIs so had my own test strips at home and was able to prove to myself (and my doubtful doctor) that it really worked - and usually within less than a day.

Yogurt hasn't been strong enough to cure a UTI for me but it (or acidophilus pills or BioK) is great for keeping them at bay. Might work as a cure for you though.

homeopathic cantharis always kicks my UTIs in the butt.
