Toy/activity ideas for a 10 month old on a plane?

We're going to be taking a trip in a few weeks and I want to plan ahead on toys and activities. It's a short flight, but since DS doesn't like to be still for very long (even though he isn't crawling or walking yet), I want to have a bunch of new things for him to see on the plane. He hates his car seat, too, so entertainment is going to be very important!

I don't want to get anything that will annoy other passengers. Any ideas? Any favorite toys that your 9/10 month old loves? Any tips for the airport/flying that you want to add?

Thank you!

At that age my daughter's favorite plane toy was ice. Kind of weird but she thoroughly loved it.

I bought DD a touch-and-feel book by Lamaze before our trip overseas. I'd read that you should buy something your LO has never seen before, for the "new" factor to keep their attention. (For older kids, they even suggest wrapping up dollar-store toys and giving them out throughout the flight.)

Anywho, DD just slept the whole flight over, so I don't know if it would have worked. On the way back (because she played with her book on vacation), she amused herself with the seatbelt, the armrest, the window, plastic champagne cups, in-flight magazines, other passengers, and the dinner tray. She also fussed near the end, but it was a 6-hour flight, so I cant blame her!
