Are her feet going to keep growing sooo fast?

At 12 months DD wore a 5
At 13 months DD wore a 5.5
now at 14 months DD wears a 6

Are her feet just going through a growth spurt, or will they continue to grow this fast?

I like to have 2 pr of shoes at a time (she is always getting them wet outside, so one pr is always drying) I like to get a quality shoe, but it is getting hard to justify the $ when she grows out of them so fast! Her foot is also narrow so letting her wear shoes with a little too much room up front means there is usually a lot of room around the ankles/back of the foot.

I don't think so...I remember reading they usually grow about 1/2 size every 3 months, and that's been about right for my DD (she was a 5 at 18 months, a 6 at 24 months and is now at 28 months growing into 7's)
But I guess your kid could be growing super-fast!

DD's the same. I'm not sure what her size currently is in American sizes but it's something like 24 in European sizes right now, I think, and she's 18 months! It's like she's constantly getting new shoes. Unfortunately, DH has MASSIVE feet and my parents feet aren't small either (somehow, I have small feet, though?) so I guess DD was doomed...

OK this makes me a little concerned, DS has worn size 3 shoes for ~9 months & just started not fitting in them as well (just a little snug)... meanwhile he's also been wearing a size 4 pair that seem to run small... I think he's been wearing them for at least 4 months now & no sign of outgrowing them anytime soon... so are his feet growing abnormally slow? Maybe he's just destined to be tiny (he's 17mos and not even 31" tall)

DS1's feet grew so fast the first 18 months, he barely had a chance to wear some shoes. He hit size 8.5 around 2 and is almost 3 now, wearing the same size.

DS2 still cant wear some of the shoes his brother was wearing at a YOUNGER age because his feet are too small! Hes almost 2 and in a 5!

Totally normal. DS went for a time wearing the same shoes for several months, then blitzed through a few sizes very quickly. I like to have 3 pairs: 1 he is just out-growing, 1 that fits pretty well, and 1 that he is growing into (still 'fits' though - it's just the newest pair). He cycles through these because his feet sweat a lot, and I like him to be wearing dry shoes.

I do admit that I don't buy the highest quality shoes. Whatever the brand, I try to make sure the sole is flexible, and he usually has one fairly good quality shoe in the mix.

The kid's feet grew at an extraordinary pace when he was younger (he hit size 7 by 18 months) and then stopped. He was in a size 8 for about 9 months, in size 9 for about a year, and looks like he's going to be in size 10 for about a year.

The thing is, you gotta keep an eye on the shoes still. What will happen with him is that his feet don't grow, don't grow, don't grow . . . and then GROW in one of his growth spurts per year, and that's when it's time to replace the shoes.

My DD started walking at 10mo and just barely fit into size 2 at the time. I bought a couple of cute little size 1 pre-walking summer shoes when she was born and they didn't fit her until more than six months later!

Now at 24mo she is fitting into size 4, and some smaller size 5s. Her feet are just on the smaller side, and we manage to get more use out of her shoes. I am not complaining!!

Lol, so every kid is vastly different! I don't know where DD gets her long feet from, DH and I have average sized feet and are only slightly above average height.

I ordered new shoes for DD today from Soft Star Shoes, its my first time and I carefully measured (as careful as you can get with a wiggly toddler) and spoke with a very nice woman from the company. DD not only has long feet, they are narrow so toddler shoes do not fit her well. I am excited to see how they fit!

I am really amazed, DD's feet have grown almost an inch in the past 4 months!

Every kid can be so diferrent. All my kids have pretty big feet and even they are vastly diferrent. My dd had pretty normal sized feet (I thought) and wore a size 4 at a year. DS#1 walked between 7-8 months and he wore a 4 then. But DS#2 wore a 6 at a year. And this was a "good" brand. He now wears a mens 9 at 11
