Is anyone going to enroll in the Institute of Holistic Midwifery?
Its the first semester and it looks nice, and on line.

I was thinking about it, but I found a preceptor in my area to apprentice with. They sound very interesting are you attending?

I applied! I am excited, program sounds great! Perhaps you could find a preceptor for the 2nd year?

They are applying for MEAC accredation..

I have looked into this school (know someone attending) and it has to be my favorite (second to MCU) that I have seen. I love that you can clep out of the first year if you are an advanced student. I can't attend because of the problem I always have which is my midwife DEM hasn't been on her own long enough to be an official NARM preceptor so I will have to pay to go to Casa or Africa or the Philipines to get my NARM stuff signed off and I can't afford both. Really have liked what I see with the school though.

They don't provide preceptors? What is the $2000 fee for?

The fee is paid to your preceptor.
Sounds reasonable I think.

And if I understand right if your preceptor doesn't require payment then you don't have to pay it right?

I looked at the website it looks great, the only thing is that it looks like it's only 2 years? did I read that wrong?

I assume that you won t have to pay in that case.
The website suggests that you can extend to take longer if need be. On the coursework you need to get a 80% or higher to pass...
