buh-bye *waves*

Dh had vacation this past week, and we turned our basement into some livable space!!! A playroom for the kids, computer room, den/office for dh, and a nice new bathroom/laundry room! Its still not completely done, and we did it ourselves and are not pros (although we had a pro consult for plumbing and wiring the first 2 days) and there is still a lot to do to be finished and have it all be clean and pretty and stuff, but it feels awesome! Best of all, we got a really big dumpster and FILLED it. A small amount was construction stuff and yard stuff, but most of it was CRAP FROM OUR HOUSE!!!!!!! Dh is a total packrat, and he was in (emotional) pain all week, but we filled a 30 cubic foot dumpster with CRAP!!! Much of it was actually in our house when we moved here SIX YEARS ago, but dh couldn't bear to throw it out. (80 year old rusted out piece of metal boiler thingy - "but we might be able to use that! ) Just so much stuff we were never going to use...non working stuff, broken stuff, moldy stuff, gross stuff.
We put up walls, we plumbed toilets and sinks and washing machine, wired lights, we put up walls, hung doors, created rooms, painted walls!!!
