Does anybody know what is the situtation regarding vaccs and
private school in us on preschool / K level? are they reqired? is there a way around?

also.. what is a general "attitude" of the private / church schools towards
parents of a child who would consider vaccinations waver if states allowes?
would it be negative or positive or neutral..

if there is a religous extempt, and one fills form is there a wait time and or approval time for this or once form is filled what follows up?

sorry to post here I had no idea where to post this question.

thanks.

The vax forum is the best location.

My children have gone to private preschools and two different private Christian schools and there has been no problem with them not being vaccinated. They just require a waiver, some want it notarized but that's easy enough. I am in Ontario, Canada though so it may be different elsewhere.

I think a lot depends on where you are located.

I'm in Texas. I had to do some searching for a preschool that would allow my non-vaxed child. Several preschools say outright they will not accept exemptions.

In Texas, a public school MUST accept an exemption, but private schools/preschools are ALLOWED to do so -- they are not obligated to do so.

I think that it depends both on where you are located and the policies of the particular school.

GOOD LUCK

I am also in Ontario, Canada and have not had a problem at the private preschool/school DD attends. I provided the exemption and no issue was made of it. A teacher asked me out of curiosity why we had made the deciion not to vaccinate and I just gave her a simple answer about there having been reactions to vaxes in our family (which is true) rather than a bigger explanation. No indication of a bad perception of the situation. You'll have to check laws in your state for how to proceed. Regardless, I wouldn't mention it until you have to.

The Canadian Constitution prohibits vaccine mandates. Immunization in Canada - Canadian National Report on ...

Vaccination law concerning private/parochial schools in the US is very specific to the state and acceptance in optional states is particular to the religion and/or culture of the area.

Vaccine waivers in the US are based on conditions decided by each individual state. Some are more strict than others.
