Thanks so much for the link ♥ I am going to check out how much that paperback is on a currency converter and think about getting it. I have been after it for almost three years now. My five and a half year old is quite sensitive so I think we will be hanging back on the originals until her eighth birthday. I have a beautiful box set of the first five. Here is an example of the publication I chose http://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Little-...item3cb1864dba
The original illustrations have been inked it which I know my daughter will love.
Thanks to your link, I have realised that I can get the four remaining ones, but i think i will have to order three of them from the USA. Thank you! I have the box set hidden away until her 8th Birthday! I am going to read all of them out loud to her and I can't wait!
Your dad sounds so sweet! It's lovely that he takes such an interest. My mother and father have just been visiting and they think the play area I have set up for the children is beautiful! My dad told me that he thinks I am 'quite a card' for my love of natural toys and parenting! I had to laugh. I think it quite tickles them too about the simplicity of the children's play area.
You might want to hold the last book until she's older if she's pretty sensitive...it was published without as much editing after Laura died and is about a very difficult period in her life. It's reality of life as homesteaders on the prairie, but hard to hear about illness and death.
One day, before he's too "cool", I'm packing up DS and we're going to road-trip the Little House sites. It covers about 3 states and I drive past signs all the time and have never gone!!! I was even in Walnut Grove visiting friends a few years ago!
