Kuddos to you who run in the heat/humidity

Holy jeepers - this morning I did my run in 95% humidity at 70 degrees. Easily the hardest run I have ever done simply because of the humidity. Typically the weather is in the mid 60's when I run and 75% humidity or less. HOLY COW are you who live in the south or west insanely brave!! I would be a lump on a log if I lived anywhere like that.

to each of you!!

Kudos to you for getting it done!!!!

It was 99 here yesterday with 97% humidity and I ran at 5pm. South MS.
I loved it!! But I'm crazy like that.
I abhor anything cold though and love the drenched, sweaty feeling. I can't believe people at work think I'm crazy!

Now, those people that bundle up and run in anything below 60....THOSE peolpe deserve a medal!! Lol.

Good for you for going anyway!!! I'm kind of weird too in that I like that super hot sweaty feeling with the late afternoon sun beating down on me, but I agree that high humidity is tough. I like to go to shorter courses when the weather is like that so I can make frequent stops at the car to drink(or dowse myself) with cold water. I'm a huge pansy once the weather hits below 50ish and mainly stick to my treadmill instead.

I live in eastern NC now, and it is a HUGE struggle for me. I absolutely hate heat and humidity. It has really slowed me down this summer. This is our only summer here, thank goodness.

our summers are mostly humidity. my husband runs at night when it starts to get dark or is dark and i walk/run 4.1k (mostly walk but pretty proud of myself for adding more running in there today!!! i felt so...powerful? is that the word?) in the morning at 9 a.m. b/c that's when i get the opportunity. i hate being sweaty but the heat/humidity hasn't bothered me that much so far. i hate being cold though! i try to stay near trees and in the shade, esp. since i'm pushing the little guy in the jogging stroller and i keep the shade down so i can see him (that way, i can still listen to music.)
working out at our muay thai/mma club is MUCH harder. it gets HOT in there with just fans and lots of people.
