will my toddler fit in a hotel pack n play?

Hi mamas,
We are going on a vacation - yay! DD is 20 months, 35" and 26 lbs and sleeps in her crib at home. Our destination hotel has a pack n play. I've never really seen one in person, and from what I can tell from pictures on line, it looks like it's more for infants. Will she fit in a pack and play? We have tried many times to co-sleep and cannot. DD and I just kick each other every 3 minutes and neither of us can sleep! Otherwise, DD has no sleep issues and STTN since about 9-10 months old. The other times we traveled, the hotel had a crib and DD slept in it happily. We did get a room with 2 queen beds, so alternatively, DD can sleep in a big bed by herself? Any suggestions welcome!

I think most 20 month olds would still fit in to a pnp. That said, pnp's aren't very comfortable (minimal padding) so I'd probably just have her sleep on one of the queens.

Enjoy your trip!

hotel PnP's are the same size as regular PnP's.

Go with the bed, I'd say.

Our 20 month old, 25 lb 34" daughter doesn't fit in our pack n' play- well, I mean, she FITS but it's tight and she's constantly bumping into the sides and waking herself up because she's couldn't roll over, etc.

We brought it on a trip to see my parents, and it was a mess. We ended up with me, DH and DD in a double bed (the plan was for DD to sleep in the PnP, and DS to cosleep with us, but the kids ended up changing places after the first VERY rough night.

I travel for work and bring DD with me. There's no way your 35" tall child will fit in a pack 'n play, in my experience. We were forced to change plans long before DD was that height. Sadly, pack 'n plays are way smaller than cribs.

Putting her in a queen by herself is one option -- you can try to request a bunch of extra pillows from the hotel and place them either on the floor, or around the sides of the bed after she's asleep, to try to reduce the risk she'll fall out.

Or, you could experiment with sleeping bag or child travel bed options -- there are lots listed on Amazon. If you went this route, you'll probably want to use it a bunch of times at home, first, so it's familiar.

dd is 28mo and can still sleep in a PnP when necessary. She's apparently above average for height but not super tall or anything...I don't know her exact height offhand, but she probably weighs around 26lb. She used one for naps at the sitter/homeschooler's, and we'll be using one next week when we move.

I say try it. If it doesn't work, try the bed.

When I make travel plans, I call 6-7 hotels until I find one with a crib. This time, well....
DH=I already booked a hotel & pre-paid for the whole trip.
Me=They have a crib right?
DH=Yes, they have the "play and something"
Me=Doh!

It sounds like the pack and play probably won't work. We do have some bed rails maybe we will bring them with us since we are only driving a couple of hours. I think I'd feel better with the rails since DD moves around sooooo much during her sleep. Thanks for all your replies.
