So, I am 6.5 months pregnant, just had my blood drawn, and my platelet count was 105. everything else was normal. 2 months ago same thing, but it was 114. In Feb they were normal. On one other occasion when i wasn't pregnant I had a count of 128.
I have Hashimotos disease, which is autoimmune, and I have read that you often have another autoimmune condition in conjunction with it...I am thinking ITP.
But when I dug up my old bloodwork from 5 years ago when i was pregnant with DD, I noticed on several of my CBCs that my "normal" counts were always in the 150-160 range. Normal is 140-400.
So does a low count for ME, not necessarily mean as much as it would for someone whose normal count is usually 400?
