10 month old DS not sleeping.

Up to this point I have not considered my son a high-needs baby like my DD. However, at 10 months my DD was taking 2 good naps a day...a lot of the time I had to be laying with her, but she at least did that. If she woke up, I could lay down with her and she'd go back to sleep. This child just won't sleep anymore. We cosleep so night's have been ok, but last night he was up a LOT. The worst part though is that he isn't napping...it takes a lot of work to get him to sleep and then he wakes up within minutes. Today he had a 15 min nap in the morning, then in the afternoon we went for a walk and slept in the carrier for about 10 minutes. And then we couldn't get him to bed until 10 pm!!!! I just don't know what to. If he'd stay asleep in the carrier, I'd happily wear him for a nap, but it's not working. And I can't keep neglecting my 3 yo all day.

How long has this been going on? Is he teething? Hitting a milestone? Growth spurt? Has anything else in life changed?

9-10 mos has been really tough for us. Sleep has been the hardest ever. Some days my guy skips naps completely unless I stick him in the car and go for a gas-wasting drive. Lately I can get 1 good nap out of him if I lay down and sleep with him, but the second nap is hit and miss (today was 5 minutes). But I know that right now he's trying to walk and he's cutting at least 1 tooth.

Teething is definitely an issue and he is on the verge of walking. With encouragement we can get him to take 3-4 steps. So I know that he has these major milestones, I just remember it was hard with my daughter but wearing her or sleeping with her at least worked. This kid won't even do that.
