or do you even let "play fighting" happen?
personally, i have no problem with it. i grew up play fighting/hitting. ds is 15 months, dh is 30 (lol) and they roll around and laugh and its essentially my ds bonking my dh all over with a cardboard poster-holder thing.
but i worry - am i doing any damage by letting this continue? ds isnt actually play fighting (like playing army or ninjas or anything - he is too young) ... he is more just .... hitting. i worry about confusing him (its ok to hit dada with this, but not that, only at this time, not at that time, its not ok to hit mama, not everything is for hitting, etc.) what do i say when he tries to hit my dh playfully with a similar looking object? should i just put an end to it? they have so much fun, but i want to be consistent
