So we're on night 11 or 12 of following Dr. Jay Gordon's path to nightweaning 19 mo old DD. It felt like nights 1-4 were hard but not as hard as we thought, then like 5-7 were also hard, but again not as hard as thought. Then 8-9 were suprisingly pretty good, with DD sleeping all the way through one night (just stirring a couple times and settling herself without waking up), and only woke once the next night (did cry, but was settled with just some cuddling and pats on her back and whispers).

But now the last 3 nights have been SOOOO HARD! She's waking 3-4 times/night, REALLY crying and getting upset, rooting around for my boobs after so many nights of not reaching for them at all (which suprised me that she didn't reach for them initially).

I can't figure out what's up, or how best to deal with it except to keep doing what we're doing (trying to comfort her, stroke her, talk to her, cuddle her) but she kicks more than ever and just gets so upset.

Anyone else had this happen later in the process? Figure out anything to do? I'm really at a loss for next steps......

(And nightweaning really HAS to happen right now b/c I'm pg with #2 and EXHAUSTED and nauseous and I have to start sleeping through the nights soon or I'm gonna lose my mind! And I work out of home full time.)
