Home Refinancing companies?

We are planning to refinance. It will save us a tone of money because we are switching to a 15 year fixed rate mortgage. What I am wondering about it companies to use, however. I called Churchill Mortgage (suggested by dave ramsey) and got suggested from them to Right Trac Financial Group which does the northeast section of the US. I was just wondering what your refi experiences were. Do any of you have experience with Churchill or Right Trac Financial? I can't find much information on them.

Advice for refinancing?

Thanks!

Contact your insurance agent, the insurance company may very well have a mortgage division. They tend offer good fees and rates.

Did you contact your existing mortgage holder? You may be able to get a 1/4 percentage point shaved off the current rate as an existing customer. (we were offered that deal by our bank)

Have you compared your existing mortgage rate to current rates if you would refinance? I don't remember what the magic spread that says "yes refi!" is but you can alter your extra-to-principle payments to, in essence, turn your current mortgage into a 15 year amortization, which would save you refi fees.
