Keep or sell?

We had grand plans of using prefolds with this baby and we bought 2 dozen. We put our house on the market about 4 weeks after the baby was born and didn't end up using them as I was too overwhelmed with having 2 kids, no help and getting everything ready for the sale, then keeping things clean.

Long story short, I have 2 dozen infant prefolds that DD has outgrown but never worn. Should I sell or keep? Don't think I want to donate because that seems wasteful of $.

Maybe I should ask this in diapering, but can they be used as stuffers for pockets? She's since grown into the med fuzzi bunz I used with my older DD.

Yes, they can be used to stuff pockets. They are also invaluable for all sorts of random 'stuff' around the house. Prefolds can be tough to sell because they are very heavy- and the cost of shipping means that you aren't likely to get a great deal on them.

I would keep them for use as stuffers, or donate them to someone who could use them locally.

Keep them. You won't get much money selling them. They can be used for stuffers or doublers in bigger diapers.

That size is also great for cleaning. It fits nicely on a swiffer or similar. Keep a stack in the kitchen to blot up spills. Great for car washing.

They will also stay nice in storage if you plan to have another baby someday. (Diaper covers or fitteds with elastic, I would sell since they might not be usable when you want them again.)

I didn't think of using them as cleaning rags and spill cleaners.

I'll try them in the pocket dipes too. We had a couple of leaks with the microfibre inserts so maybe the cotton ones will work better.

We have been using ordinary cloth nappies (diapers) to wipe up spills, for the last 18 years since DD was born and I switched to disposables...whenever anything is spilled, we yell 'get a nappy!!'

Another vote for keep them! DS was always a heavy wetter and the infant prefolds are the best inserts/doublers for pockets/AIOs. We still use them at night in his AIOs and they're great! We never used them on him as a baby b/c they never fit him. I was really mad that we'd bought 2 dozen of them and were never going to use them. Now, 2 years later, we use them every day and have been since he was around 10 months old. They're still in almost-new condition, too, b/c they were never pinned or snappied, so they'll be great to sell/donate used later on, if we don't convert them to rags instead.

I just sold 30 infant size PFs on kijiji for $30. Judging by the huge response I could have probably gotten more. I will be able to save the larger size for cleaning once they are PLed
