I am so sorry. I can't imagine losing a baby after trying so long. I'd also cancel the plans for the weekend. I've miscarried before and it isn't fun.

Thanks, all. I did have a D&C yesterday. I couldn't cancel ds's birthday, but the family that is coming will all be supportive.

I was so thrilled to be having a late winter baby.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have mc naturally and with a DnC and I recommend naturally. It was far less painful for me and was over much quicker. With both of my DnC's I went home and cramped and bled for a week, it was not nice.
And my midwife gave me vics for my natural miscarriage. I never took them because DS was home with me and I was the only adult around and didn't want to be loopy. Once the tissue passed I felt much better and wasn't in any real pain. I did have a period for about a week after but it wasn't too bad. I will tell you that I had a clot of tissue get stuck in my cervix about 3 days after the mc and went to my midwife and she removed it with some forceps. But all in all I would do it again if it ever reoccurs.

I'm so sorry. I was there a few months ago also. Just be kind and compassionate to yourself. Cry your heart out as long as you need too!!! *hugs*
