Oh lord, Im not one to run around thinking Im pregnant, I still dont, when I found out the first time I was in for a pap test and just asked for a pregnancy test, i just so happened to be pregnant. But now, im just confused...as the title says, where are you period? I had my last period on June 15th.

Im using nuvaring, and your supposed to put it in the sunday after your period, which would have been the 27th, but i forgot and put it in the friday july 2nd. I "got down" on july 9th and took it out yesterday. I have gotten a period with the nuvaring in so no reason I couldnt have still gotten it when I was due. I normally break out, am really hungry and am sensitive/emotional right before i get my period and I havent felt that way at all. I havent brought this up or said anything about it, normally when I voice about my concerns with being pregnant, I get my period soon after so maybe this will help it come! Im not sure what to think, I can either wait or buy a test but I dont want to waste money on my silly suspicions, what to think..hmm

Well i don't know much about the nuvaring but it is just like the Pill except a once a month thing right?
So you basically forgot to take 5 days worth of the Pill which I would think makes it ineffective for that month? What cd would July 9th have been? And did you have any fertile looking CM? I would test.

Umm hate to be the bearer of bad news but I had the nuvaring and it fell out DTD one night and I forgot to put it back in for a couple days. I put it back in but didn't end up getting my period and now I have a 3yo because of it.

Good luck!

oh no, well it came out that night, so i put it back in in the morning. Yea you put it in once a month for 3 weeks, take it out for the week of your period. Really, it becomes ineffective? Ugh i thought the once a month would be easier to remember.

yeah - the thing with the pill, nuvaring, etc, is that if you don't take it all the time you can have a breakthrough ovulation! (that means you basically ovulate as soon as you stop taking it, it's out of your body)

I think with the mini-pill you can have a breakthrough ovulation if you forget to take it by a few hours.

Crazy stuff.......

good luck!

it would have been cd 25? I had very heavy CM the first, id say 4 days after dtd. What would that mean? I actually found it so usual I had so much, even for a while after. Is it true your more likely to conceive in the morning?

Yeah, with the nuvaring it only gives you the hormones while it is in (if I remember right) so over night may or may not be too long, probably differs by the woman. Mine was out for like 3 days. So I know that time is at least possible to ovulate.

Yea, that would be long enough. Im confused if me putting it in a little later just messed my system up and thats why Im late, or Im just late.

As an RN who worked for a few years at an OB/GYN office, here are my thoughts:
yes, pregnancy is a possibility, but I think having the ring in for a week prior to DTD helps out
the increase in mucous was probably more related to the the ring itself than to ovulation. You have a concentration of hormones in your vagina, and the vaginal tissue responds to those hormones with an increase in mucous.
I'd wait a bit longer for AF. Your body has to recognize that the hormones (the ring) is missing and then respond by shedding the uterine lining. I never used the ring, but when I was on the pill, I would take my last pill on a Saturday, and AF didn't start until Tuesday. It took 3 whole days for my body to respond to the lack of hormones.
Your PMS symtoms may be different because of the added hormones. Everything will be different with extra hormones added to the mix.
It is okay to remove the ring to DTD, but you don't have to. It is best to put it back in ASAP.
Let us know how things turn out
