I'll have to write our roller coaster of a birth story soon (when I have a few more seconds and am coherent) but our little girl is here!!
Anna Veronica was born 7/18/2010 at 4:04AM, via c-section, 7 lbs 2 oz, 17 1/2 inches long at 36.5 weeks gestation. Her umbilical cord was almost 1 inch in diameter- no joke! The neopatal NP said she'd never seen anything like it- they needed bigger scissors!! Hello super placenta!
She is amazing and perfect, but does act like an early baby. We are SO in love, and have finally started our babymoon after a long 5 days in the hospital.
We're working on nursing, she doesn't have the energy to nurse for long but does it like a champ while she can! Lost a bit too much since birth so I'm pumping a LOT and have pretty good production to supplement.
Just the quick glance at the front page looks like 7/18 was some kind of a cosmic-alignment Aug DDC birth date!!! Congrats to the other new mamas!!
More soon, and lots of
to the August DDC!!
